Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Moon (23) identified as the victim of a murder-suicide in Idaho. This was in Bonneville County. She was the mother of three children, including a newborn.



Her husband, Christopher Moon (43), called 911 and said he killed his wife and planned to die by suicide. Looks like they were separated. Law enforcement tried to talk him down over the phone. They were not successful. He was observed using the gun to shoot himself. According to Bonneville Sheriff’s office.




"As deputies arrived to the area two vehicles were located parked on the side of the road that belonged to Christopher and his wife, 23-year-old Cassandra Moon," the sheriff's office said in a news release. "Deputies established brief contact with Christopher over the phone, attempting to convince him to surrender peacefully. Moments later Christopher was observed using the gun to shoot himself."


Two vehicles, containing the bodies of Christopher and Cassandra, were found parked on Jack Knife Road less than a mile west of the state border near Lincoln County, Wyoming. No other people were at the scene.

It seems that Cassie was trying to get away from him. She did not make it out alive.
