Would you press this button?

If you press it:

There's a 25% chance you will immediately die (nothing painful, you just immediately cease to exist)

There's a 75% chance you will get 10 Billion dollars

You have 1 minute to decide whether to press it or not and if you don't the deal's gone forever

No way. Being here is already winning the biggest lottery ever. First winning the sperm race – maybe a 1 in 250 million chance. Add to that the odds that all your ancestors down to primordial sludge had to first meet when they did, then bang at the exact time they did. Going back further you could maybe add in the random cosmic stuff required for the earth to be formed the way it did. So there is probably something like a 1 in a googol chance that each miscer was formed. We are special.

Nah. I have a great life, beautiful wife and a gorgeous baby. 15 years ago when I was struggling financially and before I met my wife, sure.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Isn’t it crazy that we share a common ancestor with mushrooms ?

I would prob even press it even if the sides were reversed and I had a 25% chance of becoming a billionaire.

I wouldn’t. I would think it’s (cosmically) rigged and that if you’re wiling to push the button, there’s a 100% chance you get the 25%.

Yes, your future is pretty much an entire gamble anyway and you won't get better odds than that.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

This. I already have enough money to not have to work but I'd still press the button even if it the odds were flipped towards 75% dying.

Alexander the great was already king of Macedonia and could have chilled and lived a life of luxury but he still invaded the Persian empire. Lol @ the betas ITT saying no.

Despite everyone dreaming of fame and fortune you have to understand that 99.9999% of people would rather be normies than take any sort of risk or action required to be great.
