Embedding works, but you need the direct link to the image, meaning a URL that ends in .jpg, .png, .gif, etc. On desktop, it’s usually enough to right-click the image and select "Copy Image Address" or similar depending on web browser. Unfortunately, the link Imgur provides by default is often not the direct image link.
