Reminds me of when in 1999 I might have caused some trouble. illiterate with these things so didn't realize. Tried making some extra bucks from home – I had made a website with some adobe program – and filled it with affiliate links for student book discounts etc.

Had also found an email program to my imac that could send out thousands of emails at once from a list. Then university (usa) directories back then often gave you everyone almost at once in a list – if searched on ”a”, it would give you all the names with an ”a” in it etc. So just fed those lists into the program, lol. Soon got warnings to stop from the internet company, lol. Made a couple of hundreds – but had no idea it was a bad thing at the time.
