This thread is for discussing mental health, in particular but not exclusive to depression. Whether you’re struggling yourself, supporting a loved one, or just looking to understand more.

Mental health issues are extremely common, with some statistics showing that as many as 50% of people will be diagnosed with a mental health disorder at some point in their lifetime. Among these issues, depression is one of the most prevalent. It’s estimated that 1 in 6 adults in the US will experience depression during their lifetime.

My doctor prescribed me hydroxyzine to take as needed but I don’t like body highs like what it gives me. I was also prescribed a take daily med but i decided not to take it because she couldn’t tell me anything about taking it with kratom. I take kratom daily but I’ve been weening off of it. So i might take the med once I am weened off.

Right now I’m super stressed because I’m waiting on a result for a biopsy I had done. My brain is all over the place with it. I think there’s probably a good chance I’m fine but my brain doesn’t work that way lol if it did I’d probably be living a pretty decent life

I’ve had really bad luck with meds. They never seem to work for me but I’ve also always been drinking a lot too soo I never have a clean slate

There’s a power outage at my place and I have no internet or data when that happens which I mentally can’t handle right now so I have moved to a grocery store parking lot. This blows.

I’m debating getting a hotel room because I can’t cope right now

My doctor called.
Biopsy results are benign. I guess my breast tissue is a little higher risk for breast cancer so they’re referring me to a breast place to see what kind of routine checks I need but I feel better.

I have anxiety so nothing is as easy as that. I spend every waking moment afraid of something bad happening. It got worse when the thing that we don’t talk about here happened- and then I quit drinking so I’m just more aware of all the things that could potentially go wrong. I should probably meditate and find God/a spiritual practice but I’m too hyped

Ok so I went full depressed mode for like the last week. It got really bad on Tuesday and on. I got my sweet tooth back, didn’t cook so ate out too much, and LDAR. I just did it to cope but damn ok. Tomorrow I need to get back into my baseline of depression lol where I can function and be healthy.

I was on tinychat back in the days of 2014 to 2016'ish. Can't recall what usernames I used. I was on several chats. I am not on FB and haven't been since 2009 or so.

I do miss tinychat. There was a Hispanic bro I would chat to for hours on end on weekend mornings. We would post pics, vids, chat about everything and anything.

Oh for sure. I popped in there and I remember who you're talking about. I hadn't realized it's been that long though.

Have you tried contacting him through youtube? I remember him sharing links from there. From what I see he hasn't uploaded anything in 7 years, assuming I'm looking at the right account.

I hope your meds do help, even if its a little.

I find motivation real tough, especially right now. No job or career path, no extra curricular stuff other than volunteering at museum. Sometimes its hard to actually give a shit.

Man :( I hope you find a spark soon. Having kids is what gave me like life motivation otherwise I don’t know haha I’d probably just float around but who knows that could probably work for me these days without kids of course
