BIGGEST issue is still not having notifications that you've posted in a thread. I know its coming. But thats the main issue I have when coming here.

smaller issue: RealMisc allowed you to double click near your thread title of a thread you made, from the main page, and allowed you to quickly edit your THREAD TITLE.

VERY handy feature when you make a new thread and want to tweak the wording of your title, instead of having to enter thread and click edit, you cold just double click from the main forum and it would turn your Title into an editable text field.


Example, I myself (and only me, or mods) could double click anywhere in the yellow area, and the title turns into a live text field

Obviously it was only editable for an hour after the thread was first made, but its very handy to fix spelling mistakes, or changing how you present the thread to misc, etc.

i was just about to come in and suggest notifications when someone quotes you ^


also thoughts on a post rating system like upvoting a post? liked that on newmisc

Thread title field should allow more characters, in true misc degeneracy style you want comically long titles. Just IMHO.

why does a thread rating start from the right and work its way left for higher ratings? thats unusual. should start from the left.

On Old Misc I believe you could see when another poster was last active . Is that coming back ?

i don't see any difference in the one's you have read, or posted in.

usually they would change so you could differentate betweens the ones you have interacted with. now you don't know if someone has replied unless you check to see if it's bumped or see the "last replied by"

How do we report harassment? There's one particular user (refer to my CP) who keeps negging anyone who responds to GMiscer posts. He does it repeatedly (rule 2.1 Bullying) to encroach on other user's freedom of speech through intimidation tactics such as targeted negging (rule 4.1 harassment; stalking).

Cheeky negs I don't care about. However, this tosser negs repeatedly on the basis of some retarded grudge he has against GMiscer and tries to intimidate other users from responding to their posts.

heres a legit misc that can go far, reclaim old miscers that were lost (unlike newmisc) and could grow and honestly have potential.



-moderation of the main page. personally i think about 75% of OG misc is the sweet spot. maybe 50%. more than newmisc, but less than og misc. no stormfront shit that drove away 75% of would-be miscers. This alone could be the biggest key.
-a PM system
-a post reaction system, if its possible, everyone loved that. emojis were amazing but even if thats not possible, just a thumbs up system would be great
-a clear easy alert system that can alert you to when you were quoted
-nsfw section that is hidden/logged-in only or password protected where anything legal is fine
-a regular donate button to donate to forum admin to keep you motivated to improve and help with costs
-a rep reset. reps are useless if some of us start at 0, others start at 100k. give high reppers a tag or something, but we need a reset.
-potentially a new name. this is not a bad one at all, its good, but could potentially be more misc-related
-time. time to survive. time to show people we can get this right.

reply notifications would be awesome, it's one thing newmisc got right - really bumps engagement imo

Still excited about the updates and if you are serious about this site, make a donation place and give us confidence this is long term. I think we all feel burned from newmisc where they didnt even attempt a legit forum that could attract the average miscer, when they caved to a few bad actors it was game over. all we need is someone who doesnt do that, give us hope!

DUmb annoyance:

my CP settings allow me to select 6'7" and it displays 6'7"

but when you select 6'6" it drops it down to "6'5"".. something is fukked up in your code, 6'6" is impossible to have display properly (even though CP settings show it set correctly on the slider)/

And the largest negative about the forums is STILL not knowing which threads I've posted in (or are quoted in) which I know is coming soon, but thats nearly a deal-breaker on forum usability....

They are archived from old misc and when you search my old username an entire list of troll threads comes up.

A funny issue I found with TAGS.

Its handy you dont need to ad IMG tags to pics or vids, I LIKE that, but once you start using other tags, that auto tagging fails.

ALso, you cannot have more than ONE spoiler tag in a post or it fucks up. example:

Ill let you figure out WTF is wrong, but each image is a different one inside the spoiler tags.

Edit: you click ANY spoiler tags, and it ONLY spoils the top one, the bottom 3 spoilers do not work at all, those NEVER change even when you click them.
