I just watched the ending of it. She left him during hard Covid times, comes back after 6 months when things are better for him and thinks she is entitled to the house, despite not putting a penny into the house....because she cooked and cleaned.

Buying a house after marriage in mom’s name, using after marriage money, you and your wife living in the house the whole time, paying the mortgage and all the bill etc.

The real answer is it depends on several factors including when the house was purchased and what transpired during the course of the marriage. Was there a loan and if so, how was it paid. Were there any improvements to the property during the marriage, etc. If the Mother owned the house before the marriage and no marital funds were used for a mortgage payment or improvements, then the wife is likely not entitled to anything.

Family law varies by state in the US so without knowing the jurisdiction and all the details, it's hard to say.

In any case, women generally make out like bandits in the US so it makes this hilarious!
