I've noticed a forum glitch that involves VOCAROO posts.


If you click to go to the end of a thread (from main page) the forum will always stop scrolling you to the bottom on a random vocaroo reply, and sometimes it fucking autoplays the vocaroo.



One time I was randomly scrolling and Maria's vocaroo where she said "N***ER" kept fucking autoplaying over and over as I F5'd trying to stop the autoplay while in that thread. My friends were giving me odd looks because my computer was yelling the Nword over and over...

Is an example, it should bring you to the top or bottom or whatever, but it FOCUSES the page on the voca post, very annoying. Not sure why vocaroo is stealing focus every time...

HOLY HELL this vocaroo "focus pulling" glitch is annoying.

When you make a new reply on a thread, the forum is SUPPOSED to send you to the bottom of the page where YOUR reply is.

BUT if you reply and there is a VOCAROO somewhere on the page, the forum jumps you to the VOCAROO in the middle of the page, instead of where your new reply is.

VERY annoying. Luckily this one wasn't auto-playing like they sometimes do, but still VERY annoying

Another issue is when you click "jump" buttons like the blue arrow, it is SUPPOSED to jump you to the post where a quote is (for example) but it just brings you to the TOP of the page instead.

YOu can find it and try it yourself, but this happens on EVERY arrow jump buttton

This does NOT bring you to the reply about "you're still online?", it sends you to the top of the page, which is also annoying.

Yes I can remove them. I would recommend you to flag these at the image hosting sites. They have AI features that allows them to detect copyright images, and it might be worth a shot, to prevent users from sharing them, as these images are not stored on OB.

I have a fix in v1.4.0 for Vocaroos autoplaying that hopefully will solve this issue. I say hopefully because I have not been able to reproduce it myself.

Yes, jumping to the last part of a thread is buggy when the thread contains embedded media. This is because the browser calculates the end of the document before any embedded media is loaded, which changes the document dimensions. This is a bit tricky to get right. Unfortunately this fix did not make it to v1.4.0, but I hope to address it soon.

As mentioned, Vocaroo autoplay should hopefully be fixed in v1.4.0.

The blue jump arrows in quote will work in v1.4.0, although jumping to any part of a thread is affected if the threads included embedded content (which most do).

The links do not work at all in previous versions.

With the new update I’m seeing notifications when members quote my posts . No problem there , but for some reason the same member had two notifications on the same quote , and I can’t delete thread circle notification now

I noticed a few glitches in the rep system. My reps were at 949,460 or 949,470. I got repped by Michellelnne, and they went up to over 949,5xx, I don't remember the exact number. Then I got repped again by someone else and they went back down to 949,470.

Also, after MichelleLnne repped me, I noticed the rep comment of my prior rep went completely missing in CP panel, but then reappeared later.

I'm not concerned with the rep points, just wanted to let you know there are some glitches going on.

Also, I repped someone else this morning at 100% and I noticed it went up by ~100 points or less. It's a possibility they could have gotten negged by someone else at the same time I repped them. Dunno.

Its getting much better, but a few small things

The "reply notification" is currently buried inside the "user CP folder", so you dont know if oyu got a rep, or a reply, and have to double click.

ANy chance you ca bring the replies page on the MAIN page and next to USER CP?

^^Glitch happened again. Rep comment line items in my CP panel go missing, and when they come back it I lose rep points. Dont expect much action from OP. I've reported that user and many others but allfather will protect the users he likes. It's sad seeing the misc is controlled by a reddit mod now.

Thank you! It just happened again. What happens is when someone reps me, I lose the points of just the prior rep.

But, in my control panel, I won't see 1 or 2 or 3 of the last rep comments. It varies with what disappears in the control panel. But, I think I am losing just the prior rep points. So in this last instance, I got repped, and I cant see 3 of my prior rep comments. But, the only points that are missing is the last prior rep, not from all 3 of them that I can't see.

Man, the VOCAROO attention grab behavior of the forums is still happening and annoying. If you click a reply that SHOLD bring you to the highlighted post of yours that was quoted or repped, it instead scrolls you ONLY to the nearest vocaroo reply, grabbing browser's focus)

PLUS, sometimes it AUTOPLAYS the audio when you click into the thread, sometimes I hear DOUBLE audio, playing .3 seconds apart so its all echo-ey as two or 3 instances of the vocaroo auto-play.



This is more like a bug that needs to be fixed quickly, as Maria screaming the N-word over and over whenever you open a thread, is NOT a good thing

Anyways, the having to log in for each and every single tab you open, is quite annoying.

using the same browser (obviously not incognito) if you open a new tab and come to misc, it requires you to log in AGAIN, even if you already have a current tab open logged in.

I don't know how you're dealing with cookies, but something isn't correct or normal. I have to log in whenever I have more than 1 tab here going.


And the vocaroo "focus stealing" thing is still aggravating AF.

Regarding the login per tab. What happens if you leave the index and visit one of the forums? Do you still need to login or does it go away? I think this is a cache issue so you might actually be logged in.

What browser are you using?

It usually happens when I have a tab up, CTRL+H to search for a thread I had already bene in, so local search, and click an OB thread. It 100% of the time makes me log in if I choose a thread from my own history. It probably has happened other times, but the history re-open is just what I've noticed a few times today alone being an annoying issue.

I guess I could try on chrome, but brave is what I use for 99% of my internetting (PC and android)

Session does not persist across tabs in the same browser

It's for Linux but I doubt it matters. If you scroll down, you'll see quite a few recent reports with similar symptoms. I tried reproducing the problem on Brave versions 1.88.136 and Chrome 146.0.7680.164, but I couldn't. It’s possible that an extension or a custom setting is causing this. My guess is that you won’t be able to reproduce it in Chrome, but I’m not asking you to switch browsers if you prefer using Brave, but I am very limited in what I can do if your browser refuse to store or include the cookie back on subsequent HTTP requests (which is how you stay logged in).

I haven't thought of what a better solution may be, but right now the post icons showing if you have been in a thread, or posted in a thread, are currently NOT helpful, IMO.

(the big red round icon showing someone quoted you is GOAT, though, so keep that for sure) but the current icons don't make much sense when you are quickly looking at the main page, its not intuitive seeing the current icons, makes me stop and have to think "wtf does this icon mean again?" and I have to go to the legend every time I try and use it. (yes I get the sealed wax dot, but it feels like that should be later in the viewership chain, having more additions to the blank/unopened envelope)


Maybe someone else who is better at psychology or GUI, can give some input, but the current method of this just feels off and unhelpful:







I appreciate we're getting closer to a final solution, and knowing the status of a thread will make miscing WAY easier, but right now its not easy to tell which threads you've been in, which you've seen that have new posts, and which ones you've never been to yet.

Let me ponder and photoshop some ideas here. but IMO icons should be bland, and get more and more "additions" (colors, sub-icons) the more and more it has relation to each poster.

this is good info but i think this is small stuff compared to the big improvements. too detailed. icons could be fixed later.
