That's like one of the first things to go with age. Hence the results you often see in veterans track are usually shitty in jumping events, but still somewhat decent in running events etc. Been thinking about getting into the sport again, who knows? Mirin 100 yr old ppl sometimes taking part. High jumping wasn't my thing, but still won school comps and did 6'2 at 15.


But if inactive for a bit - then you barely lift off the ground - playing some badminton etc can be a good step to get some capacity back.
