Nah, not me bro. I dont want any ground troops in there. I dont think Trump does either but he cant play his strategy for the world to see ahead of time. But if the enemy has to prepare for that when in reality he has no intention to do it, thats adventagious for the good guys. Peace through strength can mean a lot of different things so you better prepare for anything.

I disagree with this logic. Backing another country into a corner all but forces them to drop everything and divert all resources towards building up their military. Iran has more motivation than ever to develop nuclear weapons and adapt their military strategies to counter the hand we've shown.

Ground troops are already there. Very unlikely apaches and a10s are coming just for a feint. Why would iranians be afraid of that in the first place? What happens when we have all this shit in the area and they tell us to fuck off once again? I mean trump thought killing the ayatollah would work, no reason to think he doesn't see a ground war as a good idea. He probably thinks taking one of those islands will give him leverage.

Problem is Trump has around 50k troop in the area, the majority are not marine or army.

Iran has a million troops ready to go, with a landscape that Trump's troops can't succeed in.

The only thing that makes sense is he's sending the 82nd and MEU's to get slaughtered to try to rally public approval for a full blown ground invasion.

And of course this will backfire, bad.

Even a full scale ground invasion won't work. Those mountains are too much of a problem, to say nothing of how unprepared our military is to deal with drones. There are only 3 options - nuke iran, give them whatever they want and leave, or pump men into a meat grinder that accomplishes nothing.

My expectation is we do the meat grinder with trump coming up with a new 4 week path to victory every month until someone or something external forces it to stop.

I kinda expect (hope) that we'll "take" a few areas around Iran's peripheral without much resistance, then everyone can say "See!!! We rekt those pussies!" and that will be about the end of it.

Sending troops deep into the country sounds too insane even for Turnmph to do, but fuck if I know. I'm already seeing yard signs and yellow ribbons tied around the old oak tree, which I'd hoped we were done with for a while longer.

You have to remember how stupid it was to even try this in the first place. I can totally see trump coming up with a new short term scheme for victory every time the previous scheme fails.

He said we're going to get the job done. The job is still undefined but I expect it means getting the strait opened. Which brings us back to our 3 options. I think trump orders a nuclear strike before he walks away.

Problem when Trump pulls his little dick out is that all credibility around American power vanishes, and also jeopardizes dollar hegemony.

Iran will be the dominant power in the ME, and with control over Hormuz gives them the ability to take different currencies weakening the dollar.

For fuck if we know we're trapped there until the economy folds, because every move Trump makes makes this disaster even worse.

This thing is absolutely hilarious to the point I think Trump wants to crash it. Iran/Oman want to draft a protocol to reopen the strait ------> Prices drop

Then Trump says he's about to blow everything up immediately after -------> Prices sky rocket

No you're right he can't back out now without seriously making America a laughing stock on the global stage, but I don't think that is the reason he won't be backing out, if he backs out, that leaves Israel all on their own, and that will be Irans green light to really mess them up, since Israel runs the US, obviously we can't have that.

Another reason Trump's temper tantrums are worthless is because they are controlled by the bond market. When the 10 year yield starts skyrocketing he goes full TACO.

This is the saddest part. Trump literally doesn't GAF about killing American soldiers if it means he gets to keep claiming he's right.

If I was active duty and they told me to head in there I'd seriously consider desertion. It's a suicide mission.

Trump killed over 100+ Iranian children. He could care less who dies, because it doesn't effect him, and it all happens from a distance.

He actually wants the troops to die so he can take pictures over their caskets for his fundraising.

Imagine being an American soldier used to go die just so Trump can stand over your dead body for his own personal gain.

He wouldn't be wrong.

Imagine 92% of our navy completed destroyed, Trump and his entire cabinet/successors killed and then we declare victory over the country whos citizens only know they are at war with us because the media blurbed it out in between episodes of the bachelor.

As of April 2, 2026, the United States and its allies have struck more than 13,000 targetsin Iran since the start of Operation Epic Fury on February 28, 2026. According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), these strikes have decimated a significant portion of Iran's military infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities

As of April 2026, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reports that 92% of the Iranian Navy's major vessels have been hit or destroyed. This reflects a massive degradation of Iran’s conventional maritime power since the start of Operation Epic Fury on February 28, 2026

As of April 2, 2026, the Pentagon estimates that over 90% of the Iranian Air Force(IRIAF) has been destroyed or neutralized during the ongoing conflict.Support Infrastructure: Striking campaigns have successfully targeted and degraded over 66% of Iran's aerospace and drone-related industrial sites, specifically those linked to the Shahed drone network.Command and Control:

Strategic strikes have decimated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) command and control capabilities, further limiting the Air Force's ability to coordinate defensive sorties.

Drone and Missile Drops: Launch rates for Iranian drones and missiles have decreased by roughly 90% since the war began due to the destruction of launch platforms.

The following high-ranking military and security officials have been confirmed or widely reported as killed:

Supreme Leadership: Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader, was killed on February 28 during an airstrike on his compound in Tehran.

Top Military Command:Major General Mohammad Pakpour: Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi: Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.Naval & Specialty Units:

Commodore Alireza Tangsiri: Commander of the IRGC Navy, killed on March 26.

Brigadier General Mohammad-Ali Fathalizadeh: Commander of the IRGC "Fatehin" special unit, killed on April 1.

Security & Intelligence:Ali Larijani: Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, killed on March 17.

Brigadier General Gholamreza Soleimani: Head of the paramilitary Basij forces, killed on March 17.

Esmaeil Khatib: Minister of Intelligence, killed on March 18.Ali-Mohammad Naini:

IRGC Spokesperson, killed on March 20Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh: Minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics.

WHY the fukk does this site put it all into one big paragraph and removes the highlighted/bolded areas and doesn't let me bold important info??

Because of the PR that comes with it. He got roasted by the press about this, and shrugged his shoulders, because he is a despicable, evil fat slob with no virtue.

The only thing he cares about is assassinating people and killing whoever is in his path to sustain his little dick ego because his daddy didn't love him enough.

Every meltdown tweet from him is admission to violating international law and committing mass war crimes. He's literally unhinged, and needs to be impeached and sat on trial for his transgressions.

There was actually a great letter that the president of Iran wrote to the American public that recognized that this war doesn't reflect the overall sentiment of the typical American, which is correct. It only reflects religious fanatics, boomers and Trump cultists.

Which is demonstrated by Trump's 31% approval rating.

The people who are still supporting Trump are anti-America traitors.

If all he cares about is assassinating people then why not kill those who were roasting him?

What would happen to members of the Iranian press if they roasted and ridiculed the Ayatollah?

PS.

American law > international law
Because the implications are different. The Dems are civil war ready. Plenty of examples of that. It's different than killing innocent children thousands of miles away.

Plus, Trump has already lightly dabbled with this by sending his federal militia into MN, and Homan had to pull them out.

As for America law > International law. If you view that innocent lives don't matter over jurisdiction than there really isn't much saving you at that point.

But the consequences will be inevitable. Trump doesn't have much time left, and in six months there will be a reckoning time.

Do you seriously think that American law should supercede international law - in another country?

If you do, it's just another example of how the US is way too fucking arrogant at this point.

I thought it was a pretty poor speech/address overall. I mean, he delivered it fine. But there was no meat in the content to what he said. Whereas people/govt/the markets were expecting something much more substantive.

I learned long ago as a consultant and an investor relations person for various public stock companies that no news is better than news that under delivers. Especially when there is an expectation of great news like what many expected Trump to deliver. So if that great news does not materialize? The stock will sell off.

Which is what he saw happen today with oil (big rise), stocks (decline-at least early), and general overall sentiment about the war.

Very poor performance overall by Trump and his team yesterday.

At least he's consistent

As far as superseding American interests, 100%.

Do you believe American laws should trump Canadian??

I have been pretty happy with what he has done so far. I wish he would go further in his prosecution of the far left. For example Ilhan Ohmar. No way she should be in this country. She married her brother to get in. She hates America. She is illegal. She talks crap about Trump, conservatives, and America all of the time. And yet Trump has done nothing to get her investigated. Same with the money scams in MN and CA.

He always talks a big game yet doesn't do much. Hopefully the firing of Bondi changes that, but I doubt it. I said the same thing during his first term.

And don't even get me started on the lack of legislation he has passed with full control of the house and senate. Same as during his first term. In the end? And I know this may sound odd, but I think he is too nice. His narcissism and wanting to be liked by everyone has screwed him time and time again.

I will say the same with Iran. Forget being the nice guy. Bomb their oil facilities. Bomb their electrical plants. Really get them where it hurts.

But he probably won't. Because he wants the Iranian people to love him. It is a BIG weakness of his.
Words to live by...."You're at the shopping mall with your girl but a hot chick walks by. Are you going to look at the hot girl? No. You use your peripheral vision."
