In the last week Trump has said the war is won, although it's not a war, that the Strait of Hormuz doesn't matter because we have our own gas, and that the allies should take care of it because it affects them not us, and that if we wanted, we could open it at any time.......

How stupid do you have to be to not realize this is completely fucked and how little dignity do you have to have as a Trump supporter to cheer this on?

This not only is the fulfillment of end time prophesies, but also just think, after Iran has shown that America can be challenged, how many other countries across the world will start to resist the empire and fight back?

Rescuing downed airmen isn't an obviously stupid idea in principle. If you're going to send people off to war, knowing the army has your back is a good for morale. Also it costs a lot of money to train these guys in the first place, they are a legitimate asset. But yeah sure there's arguments against doing it as well.

The main problem is starting incredibly risky, expensive, counterproductive wars which are guaranteed to arse-rape the global economy.

So now they have a cease fire proposal for 45 days - which Trump has said is not good enough - and Iran is saying they would happily implement a cease fire if the right stipulations were in place.

So if the war continues, it's now almost entirely on the shoulders of the US.

Im actually saying iranian soldiers have very little value.

If you look at the details this almost definitely wasnt a rescue op. This was an attempted special forces raid to retrieve the uranium.

In any case if you're going to fight a war the goal should be to win and that means deciding not to sacrifice equipment you both urgently need and cannot replace without good reason
