US tech valuations have compressed from 40x to 20x forward P/E in weeks

Tech valuations are now LOWER than they were when ChatGPT was announced.

Iran war drives markets down, AI is only getting bigger.

Incredibly buying opportunity. Been buying on margin this last week. Will have a large liquidity injection next week as well.

Inb4 record highs

It took NASDAQ until 2015 to regain the levels it reached in 2000.

M2 keeps going up. Until that stalls or decreases, there’s nothing deflationary about it. Simply deteriorating USD.

It's not always correlated though. SPY has essentially been flat for the past 6 months even thoug the M2 increased during that time.

When the markets are this overvalued, that money will go to other investments.

There are other investments that are more attractive right now than stocks. Stocks in general are kind of a shitty thing to invest in(minimal tax advantage, few stocks pay a dividend nowadays), but like most investments they were benefitted by a 40 year cycle of lowering interest rates and things like the Yen Carry Trade.

Now that the Yen Carry Trade is largely over, stocks are out of growth. There are literally no tailwinds right now, annd the market needs to dump hard.

Rates are still relatively low and, clearly, it depends on the stock.

Clearly, it depends on the stock.
I'm talking about the market. Obviously you'll find some individual stocks that do well in a down market. But in general the marlet is on a downward trajectory for the foreseeable future.
