Anyone work 80 hours a week? How do you do it?

I'm moving into my house in the beginning of June. Mortgage along with all my bills will set me back around 4.5k a month. My wife is going to be a full time stay home mom which leaves me to take on the entire financial load. Will need to work 70-80 hours a week working my Security Supervisor job and Serving job at least for the next 2 years until I baby grows up.

Any advice?

My dad worked 80 hours a week between four different jobs at one point. I just remember him coming home with deep, dark bags under his eyes and going straight to the bottle. He probably slept 3 or 4 hours a night. It destroyed his health. I would not recommend.

I work 70 hours in two weeks. It's pretty brutal when I have an 8 hour day. I usually cope by spending more time at the dog park chilling

I've done it before for like a month and it was the hardest thing ever. I worked 5 doubles then had 2 day offs. I feel like working 3 doubles and have 4 single shifts throughout the week would be easier on my and allow me to get more sleep.

12 hour shifts aren't bad as long as you don't have a lot of responsibilities outside of work. Neglect all chores at home except eat sleep fap and you'll be fine

Worked 4AM to 9PM yesterday (17 hrs). But its from home and just a couple months of hell while we sell off and split 1/2 of the company...
50 offices leaving, 49 staying. Ordering circuits and equipment, migrating servers, duplicating all Apps. Been a busy few months but after its completely split May/June, it will be back to thumb-twiddling again...

Self employed tradie. My work week is usually between 70-100 hours, some less, some more. Wife stays home and takes care of everything home and kids related. The only upside is that I can basically take as much vacation time off as I want, last year I had 10 weeks off, so I do get a good share of family time.

I have multiple things I do, so like today besides the gym and a nap I was basically working from 6am when I got up to 6pm. And that’s not unusual.

Today I wrote 2000 words, recorded a podcast, did five client hours, researched marketing tips, emails and notes, etc. Entrepreneurs gotta hustle.

Why do u need to work 80 hours a wk to make 4.5k a month. You make $15/hr? Get on the oil rig u f3ggit. Even driving uber pays more than 15 bucks.

Also just be a man and do it. It's only 2 years

I mean, if you need to do it one week that's fine. But after a while you just want to jump off of a bridge.

When I work offshore I work a minimum of 84 hours a week (7x12). Of course it helps that my commute is a couple flights of stairs and someone is doing all the cooking and laundry.

A few years ago while I was laid off I worked 3 part time jobs to make ends meet. During Rodeo I was getting 2 hours of sleep twice a day during the week for 3 weeks.

^^Pretty much. Can do 80-100 hour weeks when you're young and before you have a kid.
