Vaping is a disgusting and degenerate habit. I don’t think banning it will work but in theory kids shouldn’t vaping.

OP you just want to open the floodgates for all addictive substances? Makes no sense tobacco is legal if you're banning meth and cocaine, etc. Either open it all up or start shutting down all these highly addictive and damaging substances.

Alcohol should be next but there's too much money in it now for it to ever fall
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

According to his link, people born after that date will never be allowed to purchase it haven't afraid they become adults, Which sounds extreme and I question if that's accurate

Either ban it or don't. All of these extra steps are put into place to collect money or assert power and control.

Just ban tobacco and make it a controlled substance.

Still won't stop it but will reduce it.

You understand where this is going right? What happens when the liberals there decide contact sports should be illegal, or sugar, or other things that could arguably be called bad? There's a place that already does shit like this - it's called Saudi Arabia. Buy a ticket there and fuck off fascist

It's 100% accurate. It's illegal for a person born on Jan 1 2009 or later to buy cigs or vapes for the rest of their life. While their peers two days older will be able to purchase them forever.

Exactly. This is far too much power to give the federal government. There's no evidence that vaping is even harmful, it's certainly a much better option than smoking.

Oh I didn’t realize. That’s not good.

I’m all for the government banning substances when it comes to children but completely against that for adults. As an adult you should be able to put whatever you want into your body.

I'd argue being obese is a larger health concern than vaping, and I say this as somebody who thinks vaping is garbage. I bet half the people who passed this law have a body mass index over thirty

I could see that rationale of an outright ban. I think it's disgusting, personally, but wouldn't go that far.

I would consider taxing it bigly and dedicating the proceeds to health care for the people who will eventually get cancer from it, so the rest of society doesn't have to pay for their health choices.

Banning it for a particular adult demographic is even dumber than I'd have thought possible for a government.

smoking and vaping is harmful but definitely mass importing africans and pakis isn't harmful, not at all. doctors and engineers, in fact, we need more doctors because so many of us smoke!

It's not even close. Being obese is even more harmful than moderate smoking. There's not even credible evidence that vaping is worse than not vaping.

Ah ok...

Well let's just stop banning murder then. I mean if its this slippery of a slope. First we ban murder next thing you know sugar is banned

Wow this argument got retarded REAL fast. See how stupid you are? Banning tobacco =/= banning contact sports or sugar dumb mother fucker. THose are entirely independent of each other. You might have an argument if you were worried that banning tobacco would lead to banning vaping (although they are already banning both so this is just to give a rational example) since they are similar.

Extrapolating to contact sports and sugar is stupid as fuck. By your argument NOTHING should EVER be banned because you never know banning murder might lead to sugar getting banned.

See my post quoting bonobo above.

Basically you want nothing banned. Murder is bad and so is sugar thus if we ban murder we must also ban sugar.

It's people like you and Bonobo who sit here and go into panic mode any time something gets banned talking crazy conspiracy theories that banning tobacco means sugar and contact sports are next. Normal people see there's almost no connection here. You panic-cels just want to panic over everything because you have an undeveloped prefrontal cortex necessary for rational thought to take place.

I actually respect that opinion way more than Bonobo and Oliver.

At least you're picking a side and going all in with it. I don't see Oliver or Bonobo lobbying to get cocaine and heroin legal though. Until then they're just hypocritical pieces of shit whining that it's unfair tobacco is getting targeted for a ban.

There's 0 logic for tobacco (as well as alcohol which I called out earlier) to be legal while things like cocaine, heroin, lsd, etc all remain illegal.

Normally I would side with you johnvee. There was a time I was like fuck it let people do what they want and kill themselves but society has spiraled into such degeneracy I'm at the point where I'm all for just banning the shit out of degenerate behavior and smoking qualifies. So does drinking, but that would cause riots so mostly wishful thinking that will never happen in my lifetime.

Do you remember Covid? Where they told private businesses they needed to close for an entire 4 months over a virus with a 99.9% survival rate?

I'm not saying people are necessarily doing things out of malice, it's moreso ignorance. You can't allow emotional people to make laws as they will always overdo it(like they have here).

I'm an advocate of personal responsibility. I am perfectly capable of assessing my own level of risk in life. It's ok if government wants to tax things more, but they shouldn't be banning things that have no harmful impact on society like vaping. It's not like this will stop vapes from coming in anyways, it will just be some Muslim black market trade.

Not true. I live in Georgia and we were closed for like a week which is pretty logical response to allow time to assess the situation and make a good decision. People with common sense know what should and shouldn't be banned. Tobacco is on the list that should be banned.

It's really that simple. Otherwise we are still at the sticking point with your argument that you don't think anyone should be in charge of making laws. They closed up during covid what else might they close up for?

Let's start the conversation here with this simple question.... Do you want laws or not?

Deflecting as always because you can't contribute anything of substance to this forum. You just lie with stupid shit about being on a cut wolfing down mexican food and beers every weekend but your cut is supposedly going great.

You have 0 credibility. And that's why you want entertain this conversation with me. Let's just cut the shit and be fucking real about it. From all the running you do from anything difficult it's surprising you aren't already peeled

This is what happens when you have universal healthcare, a nanny state and a tight budget. Each generation is fatter than the last, just wait until the public doctors are overwhelmed with fat related issues in 10-20 years.

Wouldn't be surprised to see portion size control coming soon.

And if you disagree with the ban on social media they'll put you in jail.

The UK has sent 3X a many people to prison for wrong talk than.....wait for it.....russia, which has double the population.

Sloots that smoke are all DTF though.

Vaping is a good thing because it allows you to spot the sloots and you don't have to deal with them smelling like smoke.

What kind of legal framework does the UK have where they can have a separate set of laws and rights for one group of people vs another?

How long before the Muslims that run their country authorize child rape for Muslims only?

How long before various restrictions against whites, maybe higher property and income taxes for whites only to shed their privilege
