Both support the first amendment right to free speech and redress.

You can talk over cops, you can call them names, you can sweat at them, you don’t have to “let them talk”. Words are not action and cannot be turned into interference or obstruction. Words cannot stop a police officer from doing their job.

I don’t think he was being mean.

I think he is an ignorant asshole.

They did not have the right to demand her id. It was a blatant violation of her fourth amendment right. Not personal opinion. Law.

She was drunk...maybe they wanted to check her age. Does it vary in states I don't know all the laws?

I'm old school so maybe that's why. In all my years on this planet and dealing with cops, (which I have) I've never had a problem.

If that makes me a bootlicker so be it...I've been called a hell of a lot worse.

If you watch the whole vid it looks like the bf wanted to be taken away so he didn't have to deal with her...she's crazy lol

At the time they were checking her ID, they were being very clear about their ignorant intentions. One cop said they wanted her ID because she was participating lol. She absolutely was not. Also, pay attention to their words. They didn’t actually say they had the right to check her id. They said they had the right to request it. That is the number one way cops try to violate civil liberties. Give unlawful orders subtly as a request but making it seem like lawful order. They knew exactly what they were doing.

I'd be fired because I would've throat punched her...I have no patience for that stuff. I actually went through the academy to become a CO. I didn't end up taking the job because I have a short fuse and it wouldn't end well...I would've been fired for sure lol...

Edit: The very first day of my academy I was walking up the stairs into the building. This female DI came over and was screaming in my face...I didn't make eye contact and answered, yes sir instead of yes ma'am. All of a sudden I had 4 male DI's rushing over screaming at me because I called her sir. I never made eye contact with any of them and kept walking...good times.

Smugness intensified...

I wouldn’t want to be a cop.

I lack the type of institutionalized blind loyalty required to operate in that kind of environment. I am honest with myself and those around me. I would absolutely be a liability. I have no desire to assert authority over human beings on behalf of an institution.

You're an overconfident retard lol. They can absolutely make you give you their ID. Doubly so if they watched you speed through a school zone at 100 mph.

Florida is considered a "stop and ID" state thanks to two statutes, the
"Stop and Frisk Law" and the "Loitering and Prowling" statute. Law
enforcement officers with a reasonable suspicion that you have committed
a crime or will soon (or are committing one right now) can briefly
detain you and ask for identification.
