Fentanyl overdose. Was taking lethal amounts after his divorce from Linda Hogan.

Wouldn't surprise me at all, he was in major pain all the time from all his surgeries. During his interview on Rogan you can really hear what he put his body through.

He might have been a douche, but he was a GOAT wrestler. Looking forward to the Netflix documentary.

They divorced in 2009 so that wasn't his cause of death. Obviously didn't help

Apparently he was hooked on it during his 2010-2012 TNA run

I can imagine how someone like him would get hooked and die on it. Imagine you were once young and top of the world strong and athletic. After decades of living it to the extremes, you are in constant agonizing pain to where you can't do much of anything, even just sit there without paid. You take a pain killer and not only does it relieve the pain but you actually feel good. Not really "high" but you just feel good, what are you going to do?

Addiction is a ruthless indiscriminate mother fucking asshole.

I respect it, and I am afraid of it. I fear for myself and others.

I can honestly relate (obviously with significantly less success) in regards to my situation. I ran several marathons, taught group exercise classes, and played in adult baseball and soccer leagues. This was all before significant injuries, now I can't walk more than a mile or two and cannot sit or sleep without constant degenerative nerve pain in my legs. I'm just too chicken to have the balls to take fentanyl and roll the dice with some street pill.

Didn't know Hulkster's real name was George Floyd.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
