1. You cunts fucked it unilaterally, zero consulation with "your real friends", after a year or so of the US administration openly mocking European militaries and deriding European soldiers who died for American wars. You broke it, you fix it.
2. Europe has no way to fix the problem entirely caused by the US. If adding more bombs would work, well the US is the world champion bomb deliverer, there is literally no additional military presence that would resolve this.
3. NATO is a defensive alliance and under the NATO regime, the US has never sent soldiers or warships to aid its European allies in their wars, because that's not what the defensive agreement does. When the Argentinians attacked British soil and seized British territory, how many carrier fleets did the US park next to Argentina, how US combat many divisions landed in the Falklands to "help their real friends"? Zero. Now that's fine, because that's what NATO is, but you don't get to cry about "Europe isn't helping!" when that doesn't meet either the terms, or the established actions under a treaty that you wrote, just because you elected a reckless warmonger. If you want to fight with Europe at your side, which they have done many times post-WW2, then you have to do what Bush did. Use the vast American soft power to cajole, bribe and bully your allies behind closed doors, then go in mob-handed. But Trump utterly rejected that approach, so now it's off the table.
I don't know if you realise this, but American soft power is evaporating like smoke under the Trump regime. Leaders in Europe and the Anglosphere have always kowtowed to the US, because it's beneficial to both sides. That's the whole post-WW2 order: the US takes care of the military side and in exchange, they get military bases and outposts all over the world, everyone buys their goods and services (especially weapons) and they get enormous moral support for any shady actions taken. That's all going away. Leaders can't rely on the US and voters will hold them to account, because they're so outraged by the USA's behaviour. That process will only accelerate as the world economy tanks due to this reckless, pointless war.

It's very difficult for a US admin to behave in such a manner as to remove European appetite to aid their military adventurism, however Trump has managed it. This admin should pick a lane, either:
1. European "friends" and "allies" are weak, militarily useless, have never shed blood for US wars, do not get consulted or informed before US action and are not required, or
2. The US wants them to help.
Either you want to go it alone or you don't. Trump wants it both ways, but he can't have it.
Here's another bitter pill to swallow: this admin doesn't actually want European support. If they wanted it, they would have clear war objectives, a path to achieve it and they'd be talking to leaders to achieve it. But this admin does not have the competence to run a coalition war. Let this sink in: Dubya is a vastly superior warleader and strategist compared to Trump.
What Trump wants is to bitch and moan and foist his catastrophic mistake onto other people and use this clusterfuck as an excuse to tiptoe away from NATO.
