This isn't the misc anymore. This is the forum equivalent of a zombie, the reanimated walking dead. Sure it might resemble what was once the misc, but it's not. This is a website wearing what was once the misc like Buffalo Bill's skin suit in The Silence of the Lambs. Trying to resemble something that was once attractive but it's just some stick and twisted attempt at it lacking any of the genuine qualities that made it what it once was. Like all zombies it is soulless, aggressive, and obsessed with trying to consume anything that lives.

Like him or hate him, Mario was an OG miscer who kept the original misc energy alive. He was fun, he posted all the time, and was the type of person who was keeping this place fun and interesting. With him being banned it seems like this community is destined to fail. Pretty soon the only users this place will have is the toxic terminally online rep points obsessed crew and they will get bored with themselves as they are very boring people who never seem to have anything interesting to say or worthwhile to offer others. Without their common enemies they will likely try to find excuses to turn on what remains as misery loves company and that embodies their entire presence.

This place is just totally mismanaged and losing it's most fun and genuine members who remained from the original misc days. Genuine and entertaining users keep getting banned while the toxic trolls remain allowed to abuse the userbase and rep system as much as they like. I just don't see any future here.

Yup. I feel like Mario was one of the last users that made this feel like the misc. Now this place is basically the same as every dying forum full of terminally online asshole nerds that nobody likes or wants to be around outside of their internet bubble of losers exactly like them barely keeping the site active.

Speaking of that, fires of ass is a good example of it. That thread died out for the reason I said this forum will die out. These assholes will quickly get tired of themselves as they are very boring people with nothing interesting to say or share with anyone. At best they can maintain some low IQ political threads as it gives them a common enemy to hate, or they will make threads about incels or some other easy targets despite being that themselves. This is all because these people always need something to attack, they're the kind of people who would argue for the sake of arguing because they have nothing better to do and don't even care about the truth. They just want to 1up somebody and score some internet points, which is why they are also the type of people who obsess over the concept of internet points and place them in high value.

I don't think this place will 100% die out because most of these remaining assholes genuinely have nothing better to do. It's a pattern I have observed in all dying forums in their present state, the remaining community is always the biggest manipulators and e-warriors, people who are just totally dysfunctional or antisocial. They love to always be with a like-minded clique somewhere on the internet and are extremely hostile towards outsiders they often gang up on. This is in a sense why forums in general have become a largely failed concept, they are too open to antisocial cliques who ruin it for everyone else. That and bad/ineffective management that too often becomes complicit with them.
