Rate low cortisol workout routine
Day 1
Band side raises - 3 x 30
Day 2
Body weight squats - 5 x 20
Day 3
Pull ups - 4 x 5
Push ups - 5 x 20
2 day break and repeat
Cardio will be hiking in nature for at least 10k steps daily and very moderate kayaking a few times a week
If it hurts or I feel any sort of discomfort with any of the above it’s time to stop or really dial it down

Your workouts aren't going to determine your cortisol levels. It's the amount of compounded stress.

Working out hard and lifting heavy fires me up too much.

Hard exersion lowers prolacting and also the better your cardio vascular health is the less stress your body has.
I think all you need is to pull thru with the hair. Once u got hair youre no longer stressed. I know i had low leve stress about going bald all day before hopping on fin.
Cutting out caffeine is pretty big too.
Even if u sleep 8hrs the quality is worse due to caffeines half life being so long. Thats cumulative cortisol.
Tea is good cuz it has theanine. Thats gaba reseptor building blox.
Gaba is the natural xanax for your mind

Hill sprints twice a week? I think those are easier on your knees too over regular sprints.
I don’t want to look like a long distance runner
And as for caffeine I’m day 20 with no caffeine and sleep quality has sky rocketed ….stress, anxiety has all gone down so much too … legit game changer srs

if u want to keep ur cortisol levels down or perfectly balanced take schisandra 3gs a day
"Schisandra chinensis is a powerful adaptogenic herb that helps balance cortisol levels by regulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, preventing stress-induced spikes. It acts as a "cortisol modulator," protecting the body against stress-induced fatigue, exhaustion, and high cortisol-related dysfunction, supporting both mental and physical stamina"
I take 3gs before bed to sleep better (and regenerate my liver from the alcohol abuse too)

Whenever I hear anyone who is not an endocrinologist talk about "cortisol levels" I immediately dismiss them as unsrs.
Brad, you know better. These are social media buzzwords designed to sell products. Right up there with hydrogen water and skeleton toe shoes.
Stop drinking, get sleep, walk, eat sensibly, get a hobby and workout in moderation.
Have some patience and you will be golden.

For the cardio, if you were at the lake you could do swimming intervals for solid cardiovascular gains

Also look at kettlebells, 20 swings and 10 second rest and your hr will hit 160+ within a few minutes.
That is what I use mainly for cardio for bjj and keeping up with my kids who box and play lacrosse and field hockey. My daughter and I workout together sometimes too.
20 swings, a few pushups or bw squats x 5 = 100 swings and about 25 pushups
Repeat 3x and do the workout 2x per week

My cortisol has been higher since I started taking preworkout again.
I think your routine looks pretty good. What I find helps with stress/ anxiety/ heightened catecholamines is to take back control of the state of mind. Like taking naps, intermittently avoiding things you know elevate your stress, finding a fun/relaxing activity to remove the thought from the mind.
