it's snowing right now in nova scotia.

what the fuck.

my word other than today the latest i ever sawr it snow here was in 2004 it snowed on april 29. i remember that day, i was in french class.

May snow is wild to see but not unheard of even in the U.S.

I have a video on my phone from May 9, 2020 when it snowed in WNY. No accumulation but noticeable flurries.

NS is warmed by the ocean. it is more mild in temps than states like northern maine, winsconsin, illiniois, michigan etc

We got a weird country since like a long penor going south to north so different climate zones I guess.

Was 70 F/21 C the other day and sweating as not used to it atm. Then today they're reporting snowstorms in the north.

My two options now are either India. which i don’t have the heart to go cause they salary/lifestyle there will also be chit.

or Canada, and if that’s the route i take will make sure to make a thread about, asking for tips and tricks on how to make it there. Hopefully should get my PR there too…but i’m getting ahead of myself

Never realized Canada went that far south - one big ass country. Looks like NS is same-ish longitude as France and Spain. Snowing there atm would be strange.

It's a completely different setup. Western europe is generally more moderate than the united states and canada due to the shape of the land mass surrounded by atlantic ocean. London is further north then all major cities in the contiguous united states but it's significantly warmer. For some reason in the United States, we always picture Germany as being this cold snowy place but in reality, as far as temperatures and snow fall, it's actually fairly moderate compared to much of the midwest and northeast

grew up in the UAE, they dont give papers, so always been a Indian citizen. moved here for Uni at 17 (2013), now at 30yo and two degrees later, with a few years of work experience, still no GC or work visa. Then again the west is flooded with ****** but i had hope i was the one, but oh well...

Should have listed to my aunt in Canada and gone there instead.

but at the very least i'll always be more qualified that Bonhomo, and will still be able to cuck him and his family by earning more world wide, as i have a master's from a top 50 US school. While he LARP's a primate.

the atlantic helps nova scotia keep warmer in winter and cooler in summer. some days 5 miles inland will be 95f and the coast will be more so around 65-70. wherever you are in NS, you are never more than 67 kilometers from the ocean

Have you ever tried the green card lottery? Not really a complete lottery as gives you ranking numbers etc and seems to be some secret process. Betting having the education bumps your chances.

I got the green card around 2000. Said my rank number or whatever was 5900 and 50k ppl get it. I may misunderstand it though.
