Your parents were good liars.

It was never better than it is.

They were just as stressed as us.

Their desire to lie and create expectations they absolutely should not have set us up for failure.

I hope modern parents are more open with their kids about how this world works.

if you worked at a shoe store you could afford a house, a new car, a yearly vacation and support a family of 8

Holy cope this retard tries to make his “stoic” claims on every thread but it comes off as retarded nonsensical fantasy and leaves me to believe he has very little experience with the real world.

Yes they had it better than us way better not only was the job market and housing market way better but people were better as well and dating was way better. And food and products were better. Women actually liked and cared for men food was made from actual food instead of a bunch of filler bs chemicals, society was more trustworthy and more white. Hell I don’t even really wanna travel anymore because every tourist place is somehow filled with stinky Indians and third worlders how tf can they afford to travel?

This is why I laugh so much at doomers who think the world is gonna end because it’s already ended. If you look at the quality of life for an average white working man 60 years ago vs today it’s night and day difference.

My parents bought a house for 58k on a 15 year mortgage

My dad basically cut grass and picked up trash but retired at like 62 with a full pension and his house long paid off.n. And got a pension for it too. My mom also had a pension
