The Iran(and Venezuela) thing is 100% leverage for this meeting. Obviously they couldn't let China think they had energy security if they're trying to get them to open their markets to US companies.

The US is out of growth in the short term. China is a massive untapped market that has resisted opening themselves up. Now the US has a big upper hand, and we'll see if China is finally ready to play ball.

Venezuela is mostly heavy crude that will take a lot of R and D to develop over years. The Chinese economy is not reliant on who gets access to Venezuelan oil. That operation was more about the US taking control of the American hemisphere. China has been investing into alternative energy sources and have improved their relationship with Russia. They are much more able to plan in the long term, whereas the united states is herky jerky because of the election cycle. This disaster in Iran has also given China the leverage not the united states.

You're shockingly retarded, considering what you claim to be, which makes sense considering most of your prognostications are dead wrong, and we'd all be billionaires,m if we faded your market suggestions. More proof that much of success has to do with contacts and family connections then being smart

What the fuck are you talking about? Every refinery on the US Gulf Coast was built to refine Venezuelan oil and they've been cut off from it for the past 15 years.

China literally gets 15% of all of thelr Oil from Iran at deeply discounted prices. Now they're facing much higher energy costs at a time when their economy is spiraling and they have 25% unemployment.

Not being able to understand 2nd and 3rd order effects is a sign of low IQ

You're the high IQ'd brainiac who can see second and third order consequences.....lmao

Let's start off with your lies - Chinese unemployment - not 25% unless you quote CIA propaganda slop

We've been told their economy has been spiraling for the last ten years -more propaganda slop.

They get their oil from Iran at a discount because of US sanctions, its 1.4 million barrels a day. They have oil reserves of well over a billion barrels. We've also been at the forefront in diversifying their energy usage.

China is an authoritarian country, which allows them to take economic shocks much easier than the united states, who, if gas prices are over five dollars a gallon come the midterms, Republicans will get wiped out. It's a waiting game and China is much more equipped to play that game than we are which is why Trump was freaking out like a fucking retard on truth social everyday. Not to mention our lockdown of the strait is porous at best, and much oil gets through. Comparing trump and xi as far as strategy is like comparing a toddler to a brain surgeon

$4.50 is still low in comparison to California gas prices.

It's $8.60 a gallon in Downtown LA as of today

I think saying it's spiralling is a bit far fetched however what is true is that as their economy grows, it's growth is slowing. It's just how economics work. There were some thinking that 8%+ growth rate would continue forever, no. They do have issues like youth unemployment rates.

The government having direct control of the economy has never proven to be an advantage overall. More government and regulations means more bureaucracy and more opportunity for corruption.

Their growth is slowing, ours is stagnating, completely.

As far as us having an advantage due to less bureaucracy and corruption.......lmfao

The amount of self-sabotage California does is mind boggling.

California is an oil rich state and used to be almost entirely oil self sufficient decades ago. IIRC, they are now the most foreign oil dependent state in the US, relying almost entirely on the Middle east. This is a direct result of extreme regulation that has also led to refiners leaving the state just a few months ago. Trump recently enacted an emergency order to allow off shore drilling again in California and they are fighting him in the courts.

Intentionally, or unintentionally, California politicians are destroying their economy. I am really beginning to believe this is all intentional given the stories about foreign influence within their local government, mainly from China. It is the same recipe China used in Canada.

Our issue is a bit different as the corporations own the government by paying off the politicians to vote how they want them to.

Think about Spirit Airlines recently. They wanted to merge with JetBlue, but washington said no, even though they wouldn't even be 10% of the airline market, now they are going under and came asking for a bailout. Just like our government bailed out the banks. A lot of these companies can do stupid crap knowing the government will bail them out.

The result is the same a fixed system that's fucked. Although I would argue that the chinese government does work for the benefit of china widely, whereas we have a mercenary class who don't give two fucks about the united states like elon musk, jeff bezos and mariam adelson. Notch to mention the Jewish oligarchy, who viewed the United States as a economic zone to exploit
