Well, I looked over the fine print, and there's a disclosure stating that no payments are a contribution to equity.

The likelihood that they take this exit rather than liquidate assets to repay their investors is very small. As they are in bankruptcy.

The fund isn't even real. It's all promissory contributions, which equate to zero. If they were to gather all the funds into an escrow account before asset liquidation, then they would have a real shot of buying Spirit, but this is all theater. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

Reminds me of "Kars4Kidz" where they are trying to get people to donate their car for a kid in need. The reality is it's schooling for Jewish kids, and they aren't poor. There is no law that someone who recieves charity has to be poor. All that is required is the charity doesn't make a "profit" but doesn't mean people can't be paid for their work. Straight up United Way action here.

They will buy the airline, then rule it as being impossible to make run again, say it fails, then sell all of the assets, pocket the money.
