Is a 3.8k mortgage high?

That's about what my monthly mortgage will be when I close on this house.

Monthly
$3.8k mortgage
Electricity/Uilities/Bills- $700
Misc( Gym bill, Streaming)- $100

Looking at 4.6k a month in bills. That seems kinda high compared to the 2.7k I was paying renting.

It's all dependent on your monthly net income, you financially illiterate fuck, which is something that you should have considered before buying a house you can't afford

Well if he qualified for a loan, he must have either lied on his loan app or he has the income between him and his wife's incomes to cover his monthly nut...

I'm guessing that's his joint income with his wife, which i'm certain is enough to cover it.However, you would think all the numbers should have been nailed down before putting money into escrow, and if he thought the payments would be stressful to make, then he hould have gone cheaper

Well I'm glad I don't take financial advice from incels. How long did it take to close escrow on owning your mom's basement?

Only morons look at payment only. What interest rate do you have, how much are property taxes, and how much down and how much was the place you were buying?

A high mortgage is retarded. You want a down payment large enough to cover at least 50% of the purchase price, so your monthly bills are under $2,000. Why the fuck would you want a mortgage and bills such a large part of your monthly income? I get the whole leverage debt ideology, but when it comes to your personal home, I think it's retarded and you should secure your home financially as physically fast as possible. If you own your home outright, you will have a whole new attitude in life where you can literally tell people to go eat a dick because you don't have to worry about foreclosure because you got fired or quit your job to take a risk, etc. A mortgage/debt makes you a slave.

If you have the income to pay it, that’s your choice OP. I just wouldn’t want a $4500 monthly obligation hanging over my head. If anything happens to your income, you’ll be fucked.

Ain't nobody putting 50% down on a home in Hawaii. I'll just refinance later on to drop my mortgage payments

I downsized my house from a massive 5/3 to a 3/2 and took the equity and what I had already paid on it, combined that with some gold and silver and paid cash for my 3/2. No mortgage crew. Only have one car note and it's our sports car. Gonna pay that off in a year. That's a pretty high mortgage brah. Of course, I live in MS so my 5/3 would have been 1.5 million in a higher cost of living area. Do you have 20% to put down to avoid PMI?

The reason prices go so high is retards like you who drive up the cost. There's also been nearly a 20% increase in foreclosures nationwide over the last 3 months. When will consumers learn....

Strong this. Having zero mortgage has been life changing. I go on a vacation every other month, no lie, and don't have to worry about housing crashes or foreclosures. Although it pissed me off greatly when my credit score PLUMMETED after paying off my mortgage. It's been a year and it still hasn't recovered. A credit score is a scam.

Congrats bro! The only debt I own is my credit card debt, which I pay off in full every month. The whole system is a scam to entice you into usury, so the Jews can collect.

I have a family of 5 and we're living in a 2 bedroom apartment. We need the extra space buddy. 4.5k isn't that bad, I just can't go to Disneyland every year anymore.

Also 4.5k in let's say 10 years will be the new 2.5k.

Why not relocate outside of clown world to a location with a healthy income-to-debt ratio? I never understood why people enslave themselves in these high-cost-of-living places when they can move into an area and be financially free and well off. Moving out of the North East was the best decision I ever made. I'm at a point in my life now, in my 30s, where I don't even need a job if I don't want one. That's not a brag. It's something anyone can do if they aren't stubborn.
