If it's IVF, he probably is infertile. There are ways to fix infertility as a man, but many doctors are too retarded to know. A hormone clinic would be your best option to reverse such circumstances, unless there's a known competent doctor nearby. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

My daughter's friend's parents are about 20yrs apart from each other (the man is the older one) and apparently he had a vasectomy before they got married and couldn't have kids so they did sperm donors. The odd part was the dad got to pick the sperm donor and gets to keep it a secret from the mom. I'd think you'd want to know about the biological father of your kid just for their medical history. It works for them but not for me, I'd probably push for adoption. That way me and my wife have the same level of connection with the kid.
