The greatest WWF debute of all time

The way the crowd goes off is gladiator tier.

That’s when I used to watch wrestling lol.

I think I remember they built it up with these Y2J mystery countdown thing.

I just don’t remember if he was an unknown secret when he made his debut and they just hoped he was a big hit or if they poached him from WcW or something. I didn’t really watch WcW.

Watching that clip you posted, he just looks like his doing a Thad Castle impression lol

90's were the best. I remember as a kid over the summer watching raw live, then would watch the re-run of nitro afterwards.

I'd do anything to go back to those days.

Came in expecting Chris Jericho leaving satisfied one of my fav wrestlers growing up. Once I saw his entrance vid I was hooked. His mic skills were also amazing almost as good as the Rock and Stone Cold.

This one also is epic.

All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Came in expecting Jericho, I remember watching that live.

Jericho was hilarious in WCW too. Remember that fat guy Ralphus who he made his bodyguards? That finger wag he would do lives rent free in my head

I believe he was a big WCW star and his contract expired so WWF poached him. I also didn't watch WCW so I don't know how popular he was but my understanding was he was pretty popular and a big deal before coming over. At the very least he was well known enough you already saw signs with his catch phrase "Raw is Jericho" in crowd during his debut which I assume he used something similar for Nitro.

I remember watching him during his WCW days. Definitely was nowhere as big as he was in WWF. I stopped watching wrestling before Goldberg migrated, but I watched a lot of the matches I missed during that time online and on Peacock.

I remember my first PPV was when I was in elementary school. Wrestlemania Iron Man Match with Shawn Micheals and Bret Hart. I met Bret Hart at a bar by my house once. Extremely humble guy.

The John Cena era was the end of wrestling. His gimmicks were corny as fuck. Surprised somebody like him was able to carry wrestling after Stone Cold and the Rock.

Such a low IQ, low information voter.

Trump is the cleanest person in DC.

You unhinged, treasonous dumbfuck dems couldn't find ANYTHING on trump...

Thats why you had to project, and invent hoaxes and pay ugly women to pretend trump "groped" them

Trump never had Epstein to the whitehouse.

Blill and Hillary invited Epstein to the whitehosue as a guest 17 times.

Bill clinton went to epstein child rape island 28 plus times.

15 of them he refused secret service protection and went alone.

Epstein HATED trump

Trump was the ONLY person to help prosecutors get epstein during the first investigations.

Trump banned epstein from all his properties the minute he figured out what epstein was up to.

Yeah HHH, Rock and Stone Cold were kind of the end of the good days.

I don’t remember watching much of Cena… if any of him.

I think I stopped watching somewhere around 2002. I know HHH kind of kept going for awhile but Rock and Stone Cold were winding down around that time.

I don't even think Triple H was a superstar tbh. He was just banging the bosses daughter. He was always a sidekick guy to me in his prime when he was next to Shawn Micheals in DX.

We had one of those black boxes that unscrambled the PPV channels so I got to see almost all the PPV’s it was GOAT. That Iron Man match was fuarkin epic, that’s the one where Michaels came down from the zip line I think. I was Bret fan but that was awesome.

I watched the PPV where Owen Hart died live, it was honestly one of those moments where you remembered exactly where you were and who you were with.

I remember the PPV when Owen Hart died. Was watching it scrambled through a TV lol. I remember the tribute the day after on Raw. I think I had tapped. Shyt was surreal as a kid. Watched a lot of documentaries about it. Can't believe McMahon was such a cheap fuck to not ensure he was safe coming from the ceiling. He was a ruthless business man, especially with knowing he died, and kept the PPV going with his blood in the ring.

Personally I always felt HHH was the best pure wrestler out of all of them. The Rock and Stone Cold were more charismatic but HHH had better in-ring skills.

For sure better than the Rock. Stone Cold is at least up for debate but the Rock had pretty below average ring skills.

Go back to the Intercontinental days when Rock and HHH were rivals and he carried the Rock in all of their matches.

Stone Cold is the GOAT to me. The Rock had that charisma for sure. Triple H didn't have that, which is why I probably don't rank him high. Bret Hart was the most skilled, but I don't have him in the GOAT category.

I also don’t think HHH’s prime was with DX

That’s like saying the Rock’s prime was with the Nation of Domination.

HHH was shit in the mic. Totally agree

I do think he got high up because he was good in the ring though. I mean I was a kid watching so take that evaluation with a grain of salt but that’s just how I remember it. His matches always felt well crafted whereas Rock’s were cookie cutter and sometimes even boring

They were opposites which is actually why they worked well being rivals. Rock made the promos with HHH entertaining and HHH made their matches entertaining.

Stone Cold was good at both mic and wrestling, I don’t think he was bad in the ring like the Rock, I just felt HHH was a little better. Stone Cold was probably the most well rounded out of maybe any wrestler which is why he’s the true GOAT. We agree there.

Edit:

I did not see enough of Brett Hart to say if he was more skilled than HHH. He probably was. I dont consider HHH the best in the ring, but for the era I watched I do think he was probably the best. There were likely older wrestlers like Hart who were better than him in ring though.

Lol well yeah I didn’t mean they were the same with quality of the group, I just meant when their respective primes were HHH’s being at DX is like saying the Rocks was with the Nation.

HHH was far too young for DX to be his prime. He was still working his way up at that time and like you said HBK was the leader of DX more or less

This. Attitude era WWF is unparalleled. Boxing was great. Football was great. You could call someone a phaggot without losing your job. Women with big tits were on everything. The food probably wasn't poison. A manual labourer could support a family of five.

My soul died in the 90's. I'm just an empty vessel at this point going on out of duty, bruh.
