So, I just looked this case up to see when the verdict might be. Accoeding to the AI answer the jury was supposed to begin deliberating today. Hopefully it's fast since it seems like an easy case
I have one question for people who know more about law. The summary I read said it was a first degree murder charge. Can the jury just downgrade it to 2nd degree and find him guilty if they decide their wasn't enough planning, or will he just be declared not guilty?

You usually don't see the prosecutor try to go for first degree in these cases because of the extra burden of proof.
