As usual, I always wish the best for other miscers, and I hope he's making good money. However, we don't know what the length of the job was. Could have been a 1 day thing -switching out a water heater or could have been an overhaul replacing all the plumbing inside of a building which might take a week. Again, with zero context we know nothing

Did you invoice somebody for a job? How much was labor charges?And how much was material? What was the cost for you to buy the material and how much did you mark it up? Was this a one day job or a two week job? Without this information, we have no clue what we're looking at

I can do a hot water tank in less than hour. This job took from about 10:30 to 1pm. Nothing came out of my pocket. Will do two more easy service calls for the day and call it quits
