I read somewhere that karmelo will be out in less than 10 years due to overcrowding in texas prisons where they give imates 2x served. So if he has 17 mandatory before parole he will only have to serve half of that before he's eligible.

No, you can be transferred to another prison and they will move you out of state if needed. Most people up for parole for the first time are not let off...
