Honestly, yes OP. I've also tried a number of those things and honestly the only thing that changes my appearance/skin is what I'm eating (eat healthy, home cooked meals including veggies), the amount of time I spend in front of computer/phone screens, how much sleep I'm getting, and exercising regularly including cardio.

I'll also add as a note that the time away from screens should at least have you spending time getting out of the house being outdoors. Doesn't need to be an excessive amount of time either, but shut away indoors 24/7 you'll end up looking like shit. This is the hardest one for me cause screens are absolutely everywhere now. It's also probably why Gen Z looks so fucking old on average.

Everything else is fucking cope.

Even the sun protection bullshit is just more skin care tactics. It's cope. As long as you aren't sunmaxxing in the gay park like a moron for 10 hours every day you likely aren't spending enough time outside for sun protection to be necessary. I'd say the sun protection advice is only legit if you spend all day outside working or something. Otherwise, you're wasting your time thinking that will do much of anything.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I wear sunscreen even when it's cloudy, and even during the winter. blue/visible light from screens and artificial lighting can age your skin according to some doctors. it's easier to prevent skin aging than to reverse it

OTC interventions have a temporary effect like making you look glossy or whatever but the RX stuff that is supposed to change your skin structurally doesn’t seem to work on a superficial level.
Retin A can take a while to start working. For some people your skin can look worse for a time before it starts improving with the retin A. You also really need to use SPF and keep the sun off anywhere you use it.

ETA: Did you titrate up from a low dose of Tret? Or jump right to 0.01%

Genetics are king.

I know guys in their youth didn't do anything for skincare and looked great, I also know some who looked like shit.

Most guys dont do skin care, they think its faggy, I used to do it when I worked in retail and looked pretty good.

One thing in particular I used was a roll on for under the eyes to reduce the puffiness and blackness.

I actually started using it on my entire face and it did way more than any other skin treatment I used.

You should also be stopping the tret 5-7 days before medical MN and waiting 3-7 days after.
