Who else is buying granny ornaments?
For presents and home decorations?
Places like ebay can be great to get quality stuff for a fraction of what it was/should be. Going through some of these items - 38k similar items on a domestic site owned by ebay (tradera.)
The most expensive items are 60k usd or something stupid like that, but if look at low price points, there’s so much of amazing quality for pennies basically. Much from the 50 -60’s that looks brand new still. Probably from ppl that died and supply is too great.
Just that so much is from known artists and legendary glass works, signed etc - it’s almost insulting how cheap you can get some things. Got so many great deals I went a bit nuts.
Fratelli Gialletti - mid century italian, most expensive thing I got - 75 usd including shipping. Present for my older sister.
3 different pieces of crystal that matches each other - to give nephew as he got an old larger matching set family had since the 30’s (at his marriage)
About 15 bucks each.
Then got 4 crystal/glass vases from famous swedish kosta boda etc for 13 bucks each. Insane.
2 more from local quality glassworks - 10 - 15 bucks each (nuts):
From Japan:
Anyways, leaving this for tonight or will buy too much. You dudes getting/got any aesthetic artsy stuff or is it just me being homo?
Will look for deals on paintings etc next.

Remember working at that factory for some months when their local hockey team, HV71; got their first national gold. Their hockey team means everything in such as a small place. The team all came to our Huskvarna factory with their golden helmets, lol ....and all working there celebrated. Not my area but was where my older sister moved and married so got to stay with them and appreciate some hockey.

Edit: yeah, seems to have got a start here in the 1920's, but earlier over there.

I love my china and crystal and would display it if I still had a china cabinet. It's in boxes in attic. As for knick knacks I'm not much of a fan of them. I don't like the cluttered look.
