Bought an overpriced steak . Probably cost 30 bucks , but was it faurking good . Anything under 25 dollars is like a piece of rawhide, so you gotta pay the big bucks .
I’m a medium rare guy and I undercooked the thicker part just a tad but it was still acceptable . Not like I couldn’t throw it back on for a few minutes again .
These people that cook a steak well done is a crime imo , like what’s the point lol .
I just cook the corn in the husk . Throw it in the nuke for 4 minutes and it’s done

I found a BBQ sauce with no sugar . It’s actually very good and would recommend

I eat immediately. Didn’t know letting it rest was a thing ? Normally I let it sit in the fridge half a day in Worcestershire sauce to marinate

Resting for 10 minutes after cooking would stop all the blood on the plate...

That looks great. I rest my steak covered or wrapped for 20 to 25 minutes. If real thick, might rest for 30 minutes.

Meal looks great, though I don't like that brand of sauces. SRS question, given your advanced age, do you get lonely?
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Not really . I’ve always been the loner type right from childhood. I had a best friend in elementary that got a little too clingy , and even back then I noticed that I liked to socialize, but only to a certain point .
Only thing I wish is that I didn’t have a micro . I had the ideal situation going for me one year . My cleaning lady had a great body , perfect tots imo .
She only wanted to get together Friday evenings to watch a movie and a booty call . Wanted no other contact otherwise .
It was really best case scenario. I mean we were mutual to each other unless we said so otherwise, so no chance of a disease .
It’s basically like having the milk but not buying the cow .
As skinny as she was , unfortunately with my condition we were not a good fit and I had a bit of difficulty cooming . Otherwise I think we’d still be banging 15 years later

Fuck yes

I pan fried a couple pieces of eye fillet (tenderloin in Yankee speak) last night in just a little oil after I got a hard sear for a few minutes each side; rested under foil for about 10 minutes while I finished off mushrooms, onion and garlic in one pan and broccolini and carrot in another steamer saucepan. Steak was deliberately done blue; fucking magnificent. No sauce because calories but I did sprinkle mine with some chipotle salt.

If you get a good chunk of meat marinate it or whatever (I generally don't unless it's a tough cut) then get it out of the fridge for between 30 minutes to an hour before cook so it's not cold when it goes into the pan or over charcoal - more consistent and the muscle fibres are more relaxed pre cook; then rest the fucker for a bit so the juices can redistribute properly and the excess finds it's way out and keeps the plate clean and the meat jucier. I tend to rest for as long as I've cooked - and pull the meat a little early before it's to your required doneness, because it will continue to cook some while it rests.

Looks pretty fucking good regardless!

Srs I like baked potatoes. I actually bought some to make hash browns with in the morning, but I’m reading that potatoes are not recommended when you have diabetes, so I quit eating them . Sounds like bs to me
