Buy run down houses fix them up then either sell or keep them as rentals profit?

trying to do renos with no carpentry skills is going to be a headache and likely to fail. you can only get so much from youtube videos. it's harder than it appears. not only do you need to be good with the tools, you need to know code if youre doing anything major which can be a PITA for someone who isnt in the trade
