Poll reveals Barack Obama remains the most popular living U.S. president

How does he do it?


This week, as his new presidential center opens, a new poll from CNN suggests former President Barack Obama remains the most popular living U.S. president, with favorability ratings significantly higher than those of President Donald Trump and former President Joe Biden.According to the nationwide CNN/SSRS survey, 57% of Americans view Obama favorably.

By comparison, 34% hold a favorable opinion of Trump, while 30% say the same of Biden. Obama also performs especially well among political independents, earning more than double the support of either Trump or Biden in that voting bloc.

The poll also found that Obama continues to enjoy overwhelming support within the Democratic Party. Although only about one in five Republicans view him favorably, that level of bipartisan support still exceeds the number of Democrats or Republicans willing to cross party lines in their views of Trump or Biden.

Among other living former presidents, George W. Bush received a 42% favorable rating compared with 33% unfavorable, while opinions of Bill Clinton were almost evenly divided.

Obama has a charming personality.

I can't say I'm a fan of any of his policies, but at least he is engaging, thoughtful, demonstrates impulse control and acts his age.

Compared to bottom of the barrel, disgusting retarded freaks (like Trump) it isn't hard to see why his favorability ratings are so high.

If everything was so great under Obama, why did Trump win 2016? I mean, he did fix healthcare with the ACA, healthcare isn't a problem anymore is it? Oh wait.

Polls show the Trump is probably the worst president the US has ever seen. Historians have said so. Same historians and other polls rate Biden as one of the best presidents ever. But yet he was getting smeared so bad by Trump he tapped out and his Vice got wrecked.

Republican President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, and the party spearheaded the passage of the 13th Amendment in 1865, which permanently outlawed slavery.  Democrats mislead the nation into believing that Republicans are all racists.  Democrats are race-baiting liars. I'm gonna let you in on a secret. You don't have to toe the line all day everyday. Trump's second term has been a fucking mess, worse than Biden, worse than Bush. I can now say that it was a mistake to vote for him. And Obamacare wasn't perfect or even good, but it's better than what povertons have now, which is nothing.

I voted for Mitt lol. Not my proudest moment.

Obama (or basically any Democrat) was unbeatable in 2008 but the fact that Romney got 47-48% in Ohio and Pennsylvania and lost by less than 1% in Florida shows that Obama was beatable in 2012. It wouldn’t be easy of course, but he was beatable.

Actually curious to see how Trump would have done in 2012, he would have been able to galvanize the Tea party base a chit ton more than Romney was able to. I think he still would have lost but he could have at least won Florida and Ohio. Iowa too.
