Daily.

Hygiene is a safety thing, and is important for mental and emotional well being.

I don’t do all the chores everyday, but I do chores everyday.

I feel like it should be part of a lifestyle/mindset.

I get anxiety if anything is remotely messy. So I clean everyday.

I was also diagnosed with OCD even though I feel thats a made up condition. I used to have a version of OCD when I was younger where I couldn't touch door handles, things had to be square (for example a book on a desk had to be in line with the corner of the desk), couldn't have mismatched hangers and many other compulsions srs.

Its not as bad anymore but I don't deal well with messiness.

i pay some Latinas to come and scrub everything down once a month. i trade dollars for time not time for dollars.

7 Low-Value Activities Upper-Class People Never Waste Time On, But Working-Class People Do

1. Doing Their Own Low-Skill Household Chores

Wealthy people think about time the same way they think about money. If hiring someone to mow a lawn or clean a house costs less per hour than what their time is worth, the decision to outsource practically makes itself.

Working-class individuals rarely have that option. They absorb what amounts to a significant “time tax” every week, spending hours on labor that consumes their weekends without building anything financially meaningful. The Saturday afternoon spent cleaning gutters is a Saturday afternoon not spent on anything else.

Wife does majority of cleaning. Ill do things when she seems overwhelmed and can tell she needs the hand. I try not to leave a massive mess in my wake as I do things as well, just makes things more efficient.

Atomic habits... if you just keep the place tidy and clean everyday you won't need a massive monthly clean up with maids

I live in a small place but taking the wireless dyson out for 2 minutes a day and scrubbing the counters in the kitchen and washroom takes me max 5 mins

i'm a neat freak. but the toilet and shower and tub and sink accumulate grime that needs to be scrubbed. i can't do it as good as they can and i'm not going to do it. it's not worth my time. i'm too rich. i spend $75/month and come home to a clean place. bathroom scrubbed, floors mopped, carpet vacuumed, everything dusted. worth every penny.

your toilet and shower are probably filthy.

Dusting and sweeping everyday, mopping every second or third day, i clean the kitchen after using it. Maid comes 2x per week to do a deeper cleaning mostly focused on bathrooms and kitchen but she also sweeps and mops. She comes mondays and fridays.

the only manual labor i do is my laundry. towels, sheets, clothes. clothes are minimal being retired and living in S FL. i thought about outsourcing this too but it would be more disruption and hassle and time than just doing it myself. my ultimate goal would be to never lift a finger to do any manual labor at all. i'm an optimizer and an efficiency expert.
