Professional reviews should come out around 12PM today, I think. If they're decent, I'll check it out. I enjoyed the Superman movie from last year

What's more alarming is that the projected box office figures for Supergirl look poor. It's tracking for a $50M-ish opening weekending domestically. Superman last year opened to $125M

Also -- all the comments about how Mily Alcock looks. Truthfully, I might have to agree. She looks too small and child-like. Typically, Supergirl is portrayed as athletic and attractive (like Superman)

I think they should've cast Michelle Randolph (the daughter in Landman) or Virginia Gardner for the role

Professional reviews are coming ... it's basically mediocre. 61% after 75 reviews as of now. Superman last year had 83% after 502 reviews

Basically - critics say that its a movie that would've been fine 15-20 years, but after so many superhero movies, it needed something more creative. At times, the movie feels like Mad Max meets Guardians of the Galaxy. The fight scenes are hardly different from the stuff already showcases in Deadpool and Guardians, with the punk-rock music in background. Lobo's inclusion in the movie is apparently shoehorned

Alcock's performance is getting some praise though.
