the old misc was so habitual, almost like a reflex to log in, take a break from whatever you’re doing and refresh the first page and this site looks the exact same but it’s not … feels like I’m chasing something that no longer exists because of so many years on the old misc

Remember, it's the same misc community. Most posters are just knocking on 40+ years old at this point and that's reflected in the content. Unfortunately a huge chunk of the user base are also less mentally stable because, naturally, middle aged men typically don't have the time to sit on a forum when they're busy with careers or family life. The most successful miscers tend to dip in and out rather than post daily. The ones who post daily have ample free time (for better or worse).

I still love the misc and I'll always be here. Hopefully Obnoxious Brutes is around for a long time, but I went down with the last two ships. I intend to do the same until the last remnants of this community are gone.

Misc is my only family , so obviously i consider you guys and gals of utmost importance in my dismal existence lol . And besides that Misc always delivers , whether it’s the Misc detectives , breaking news or providing the lol’s .
Life’s too short not to laugh once in a while , and somedays you guys literally have me lmfao so hard that I’ve actually been on the floor between my couch and my coffee table gasping for air and once came very close to almost dieded from oxygen deprivation lol .

It’s comical, when BB.com went down I thought I’d be ok , but I was just fooling myself. I was spending time on my woodworking router forum with all the old guys , and after 3 weeks of that I literally wanted to rope . Then NewMisc came along . I was happy about that but unfortunately it dieded to , but luckily allfather resurrected old misc , and the rest is history

Not an OG by any means, but I think I earned my Misc stripes being a member since 2014. I'm also glad alot of old posters came back that weren't on Newmisc. Newmisc was good, but I prefer it here.

Helps kill time while at work like the old days, but just wish the Nords MarioMiami love affair can finally end with their back and forth threads every day/week.

I still find myself coming here daily to see whats going on. Sure, the place has lost a lot of its appeal and most of its userbase as compared to 'the glory days' but it is far from dead.

Identical the OG Misc with a few key features missing, bodyspace and post management

Whether the environment will ever be similar is a different story since message forums aren't nearly as popular anymore. This is more like the final year or two of the Misc, with basically all the same people that stayed until the bitter end
