My right ear is not working... will I be ok?

RIGHT EAR***

took too much sat night. friend had to pour water(turned out to be a lot) on me to keep me from passing out.
that and the damp towel i lay the right side of my head on for a few hours, before i sobered up.

almost 2 days now, the ear feels clogged and hearing is at low rates. it feels heavy

misc wut do ? :(

Go see a fucking doctor now. Perhaps you have a big gob of wax stuck in there - or worse. They need to examine it. Whatever you do don't wait to see the doctor otherwise you may suffer permanent damage. Go see Urgent Care at minimum.

This shit actually happened to me a couple of months back srs. Except it wasn't from an overdose. I just got sick af and got back to back ear infections. Lost hearing in my left ear for a while but thankfully it cleared up with time. Still though I think it did permanent damage cuz till this day my ears pop everytime I swallow no homeowner.

OP just go to a phuking walk in clinic or something and get checked out.

I don't remember exactly but well over a month. I think almost 2 months srs. I actually went to a specialist since I couldn't hear sht and he literally just said wait it out max another 3 months. So if it didn't get better by july or something I would've had to go back. Thankfully it got better a while ago.

When I got it though it was legit the sickest I've ever been. I definitely had some sort of virus I think maybe COVID or something I have no idea. The shtty part is that it takes long to heal. It's better now but it never fully healed. There's no pain or blockage but my right ear pops a little literally everytime I swallow.

Dude I had this same type of thing a few years back. Got sick and ended up having some sort of weird ear infection type thing. Took antibiotics which didn't do anything. I am wondering if there is some sort of virus that causes it and you had what I had.

My ear was constantly having that feeling of water stuck after you go swimming. Super annoying and disorienting. Took like a month to get back to tolerable levels and wasn't 100% for a few more months.

Yeah same I had fluid trapped in there for a while. I looked into it and it's kinda like a chain reaction. Like that initial sickness that I got where I had a virus and could barely get out of bed. The after effect of that was the leftover fluid stays stuck in your ear canal or w/e. Then since the fluid stays stuck in there for a while it can keep giving you ear infections since it takes months to fully drain out.

Even worse if you smoke cuz the smoke you inhale like spreads it in your ear canal. I smoke too so I had back to back ear infections. I'm someone who legit barely every gets sick but man this shit happened a couple of months ago and was the sickest I've ever been. Lost all kinds of gains and even a new fking job I had at the time.

The doctor told me the same thing about the fluid being stuck in the ear and that it would go away with time. I ended up taking the version of sudafed which has the meth drug in it or whatever which seemed to marginally help.

The thing is I have never had any ear infection accompanied with sickness except maybe once as a child.

I do not think it was Covid or anything like that because it had already burned out by that point. There was a strain of some virus going around and I wish I could remember it because I am wondering if the ear thing is a common symptom.

It's probably not a medical emergency, but I don't know why you wouldn't just see a doctor. They'll probably just recommend a kit to melt some earwax build up. It's no big deal.
