Tucker Carlson brands Republicans ‘treasonous’ as he quits the party

Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson has publicly announced his break with the Republican Party, which he had supported for decades, accusing it of "treasonous" actions.Carlson stated that the Republican Party prioritises the interests of corporate donors and Israel over those of American citizens, particularly concerning the Iran war.

He warned the party that his defection, after 35 years as a consistent defender, should be a "wake-up call," suggesting that many other voters are similarly disillusioned, especially given recent polling indicating the Iran war is unpopular.

His comments follow months of public disagreements with party leaders and President Trump, whom Carlson previously criticised for his administration's performance and foreign policy, even apologising for having campaigned on his behalf.

President Trump responded to Carlson's criticisms by stating he had "lost his way" and was no longer part of the MAGA movement, with a White House spokesman adding that national security decisions are not based on "fluid opinion polls or podcast hosts."

Would vote for Tucker over anyone in '28.

That said, he should be using his power/voice to actively change the GOP from within, not taking his ball and going home.

Thats the same mistake the communists initially made, took their ball and went home and thought they could run against (D), they failed miserably, so they wised up and took over the (D) party.

I was listening to Monday's AF episode and Nick was talking about how we wasted 70 Billion dollars on the war with Iran, wasted political capital, and are going to lose the mid-terms for higher prices and no gain to the American people. He then said we could have taken the 70 Billion dollars went scorched earth on deportations, burnt up political capital, maybe lose the mid-terms and potentially have higher prices but there would have been a benefit to our country. It was an interesting comparison in my opinion.

A domestic focus would have increased trumps political capital lol. But trump doesnt have it in him to stand up to the neocons, and going back to the reagan era neocons have never cared about the political damage their bs causes

They could have waired until after the midterms to do this. Imagine if trump had focused on deportations and domestic policy instead, we would be looking at a red super tsunami and they'd still get their gay war. Thats how few fucks these people give for their own constituents
