Whats your prefered way to bench press?

Recently started benching. I do 45degree incline barbell. Grip is pretty narrow. Bout one inch from the start of the knurling.

Feels good on my shoulder. SUPER DED FKNSRS

Sucks bru.

Shoulders are my biggest limiting factor in the gym.

Getting some imaging done next week to see if surgery will help.

Flat bench with ring finger on the ring. Keeping shoulders depressed but not forcing retraction and allowing them to protract slightly during reps.

The incline works. I tried dipping my toes with the 30 degrees and it was better than flat, but still got some shoulder discomfort.

For elbows i keep mine nearly fully tucked, i flare them just enough to open up my chest. I keep them so that when i have my narrow grip on the bar my forearms go outward in a slight angle. Not fully vertical.

Doing it this way gives zero discomfort for me

dumbbells are superior because you want to work the stabilizer muscles.

I mainly do incline DBs. I recently have been enjoying decline DB bench tho

When I do bench I use my swiss bar just for the neutral grip option

Flat barbell paused for heavy top sets. Grip is narrow af so looks joocy with long bar path. Trying to reach 3 plates currently around 275.

I got 365 recently. I lost around 10% in the first 3 months and then started building back up but still not quite where I was before 8 months ago.

Too much effort to get them in position.

I prefer to load up the barbell once. More efficient.

I do them in a double set with incline dumbbell flys. This makes it to where I can legitimately take a pair of 35lb dbs and achieve a massive pump. No need to go heavy and I have done both a fly and pressing movement
