The problems I ran into when trolling Reddit is that if you get downvoted enough, your content is effectively hidden

Facebook on the other hand rewards engaging trolls with heightened visibility.

I hate reddit because they killed other online forums.

You used to be able to go to forums and they'd be full of experts who only focused on that hobby for the last 20 years. You could get great answers from the best people in that field.

Then reddit came along and killed 99% of forums

Now the subreddit for that hobby, which killed the original forum, is full of dilettantes and toe-dippers and the experts left the internet entirely

And now they don't even bother to moderate a lot of the subs, so they get infested with bots, fake LARPers, low-effort posters who just make shitty jokes, and teenagers.

Also the place is loaded with astroturfing bots who buy entire subs and then try to shoehorn in their shitty low-information political drivel

Now they are trying to force users to their algorithm-driven feed for advertising and addiction.

Same when I was hooked on feel frees I was in a subreddit for that, tv show groups, and I’m in some snark groups which are pretty mean spirited. Like a Hailey Bieber snark group. I was also following that Justin Baldoni Blake lively stuff- also semi snark because most people in the ones I followed do not like Blake lively and were on Justin’s side


Can I just say my miscer ex metaljerk became a Redditor lol he literally started going to their meetups in the community and shit - so hardcore redditor.
