Not a retarded amount in NYC tbh. Especially in some kind of management position at a major bank.

Sucks for her/them/it though as spending tends to be closely tied to what you make. Wouldn't shock me if she was paycheck to paycheck and is now struggling to find another similarly paying role with $5k/mo rent due and various bills including a $300/mo gym membership she signed up for in January (went twice).

Hope the fat mess has six months expenses saved.
