Just started Death on the Barrens by George James Grinnell

How is that book? Sounds like an unusual perspective

I just got it, but it's the memories of a captured German and it was written shortly after the events. Supposed to be really good.

I’ll have to check the library for it. As for mine I’m maybe 2 chapters in but I’m a canoeing fanatic so to read these old stories just feeds my day dreams.

Nice, yeah I’m a bit behind on the Stormlight series but its been a good series so far. I got most of my fantasy/sci fi recommendations from an old 50+ page fantasy/sci book misc thread. Will have to try and find the thread soon as it was active for multiple years. I still remember near the end of the thread miscers were raging that the author for The Name of the Wind still didnt release the new book of the series. Has yet to come out to this day lol

Came with an action figure and everything
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I like Billingham's Detective novels, so tend to read anything he has written. Good book so far, I can feel some clever twists coming.
