I was just pulled over (lol)

I was in Haverhill Mass pumping gas , pulled out. See a cop flying behind me/ lights on. Certain they’re going to go make a major bust. I pull over and boom they pull over behind me.

I ponder what it could be about - thinking maybe I was speeding

Cop shows up- it’s my expired registration.

I live in Maine . Expired registration is nothing there. They typically give a warning and move on.

This cop tells me - he’s going to tow my fucking car. They interrogate me. Keep asking me why I’m in Haverhill. What I was doing in Mass. where I’m going? lol pretty sure they thought I was drug trafficking.

Anyways my future couple day, week. Months flashed before my eyes . But luckily they let me use rapid renewal and show them proof of registration.

I called my brother and he told me how serious mass is about expired registration lol. Anyways fun night

Almost really needed to find a place to stay LMAO

Now I’m in Hampton beach Nh looking at sand statues or whatever structures. Can’t think of the name

It was cool they just let you renew it on the spot, they could have done a lot worse.

The cop seemed high or drunk tbh. It was weird . The situation was weird . I now know how seriously Massachusetts takes registration but it was still weird

I’m in recovery from drugs and alcohol so I feel like I have a keen eye for when people are under the influence

My brother put it in perspective for me though - apparently this was a nice cop. Although I don’t think he fully wanted to take my rapid renewal receipt. It literally says proof of purchase and that it’s my temporary registration

This may or may not be related - if I want to get weird in my head about shit but the other day I clocked a local drug addict signaling something to a cop whilst walking behind what I can only assume may have been a drug dealer. I have heard this person is a narc and works with the cops

The cop saw me and made weird eye contact with me

Flash forward to last night . I get a weird text from a number in Lynn Mass. an internet number so who knows . Anyways it’s a drug dealer from like 7 years ago or someone that says it’s them. They knew my name and gave me the right name. I haven’t dealt with them for years but it’s all kind of weird to me. This morning I felt like someone was trying to set me up from that convo. It never got very far - or she might have just been trying to see if I’m still using for whatever purpose she had

Got into a habit of letting my woman renew mine after they let you do do it via the app, I just had no govt apps on my phone so had her doing it for fuck knows how long. Until I got pulled over one day and in Australia when you are driving unregistered you are driving uninsured (means you need to go to court and can lose your license). The cops let me call her and she registered it on the spot but I got the app soon after and have done it myself since, not letting that happen again fuck that. Bills are so fucking easy to pay nowadays, it's all taken care of in a matter of minutes, I used to have to go in and pay at the post office etc it was an extra chore on the list.
