Why do horses let us ride them?

Even the best professional rodeo riders can't stay on for more than a few seconds on a bucking horse

That's why there's the "8 seconds" rule that if they stay on for that long on a bucking horse it's considered a successful ride

So it's weird that horses let people ride them without bucking anyone off who tries

You have to dangle a carrot in front of it. I took a horse breaking class in Coffeyville, Kansas.

You have to shame into behaving.

Use its feelings against itself.

Make sure it knows it is worthless unless it obeys you…

Wait, that is wagies. That is how you break wagies to do your will.

I watched one or two episodes. I’m open to it but it hasn’t taken a bite out me yet. With your recommendation I will reengage.

I almost quit during the first episode

it picks up faster and things make more sense

its like a combination of A Brave New World and Office Space

80% dystopian future with like 20% comedic relief

usually the absurdity of it all, they are basically entrapped slaves but the boss will roll out a fruit cart for them to enjoy for good behavior or give them some cheap ass 25 cent trinket for hitting metrics.

The most unsettling part about dystopian movies/shows, the characteristics that make them dystopian exist in society today but are very subtle to the unawakened NPC.

Have you read A Brave New World? its insane how accurate it is for
being written in the 1920s, showing the elites using technology to
distract the serfs, the technology of the time being movies,
airplane/helicopters for easy travel, pharmacutical drugs to numb you
ect.

I’m familiar with it, although I haven’t read it. I will check that out too.

That was by Orwell, right? Same guy who wrote 1984?

It came out before1984 in 1932. Aldus huxley, he was a professor of George orwell and they knew each other then George orwells book came out in 1949

Both different takes on distopian future

I never actually read 1984

If the liberals had won we would have a fucked up blended version of 1984 and brave new world.
