Didn't know you could just walk right in and chill and people watch. It was almost like the mall

Damn it sad how far the world has fell off. I love airports too, just sucks going through angry tsa employees.

Is it just me or do they never have consistent protocols even at the same airport and terminal?

One day it’s don’t worry about taking out your laptop and leave your shoes on. Then next week it’s take out laptops and take off shoes.

The other week I was flying domestic and they didn’t even check my ID until boarding but most times they check it at least 3 times before boarding.

My grandfather was a businessman and traveled a lot. Just went to the terminal, turned in your bags, paid for your ticket and went to the gate and waited for him flight, he would get on, then when he came back I'd wait at the gate for him to arrive. No TSA checkpoint. I do think there were metal detectors and exray scans of luggage but they was it.

Oh and when I did get to fly, I was a bit young to appreciate it but all of the flight attendants were very pretty faced fit younger women. If you saw a male it was a pilot. SRS first time I saw a male flight attendant it might as well have just been a tranny at that point.

What has been taken from us, people don't realize because they take it piece by piece with justifications. The only way to get it back will require a final solution.

Yeah people would meet you right where you exited the gate. Good times.

One time, back when they gave you tickets in the mail for flights, I misread the departure time and ended up at the airport less than 20 minutes before the flight was going to leave. Someone took me and my luggage, escorted me past all of security, they didn't check my luggage, I got to the gate in 5 minutes (this was at LAX) and made my flight. Woot.

I remember. Very few secuirty guards anywhere and you could just go anywhere for whatever reason.

There was one drawback, though; in the late 90's I was at LAX and all the cults were there looking for lost, timid people or other victims they could control and handing out these thick books of religious crap and asking for a small donation. They were freaking annoying. One douche would get all up in my face with his cabbage breath and wouldn't leave me alone.

TSA has a 95% failure rate when tested or audited.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I flew home from the Philippines to the US in November 2001 after flying over prior to September 11. The difference was pretty striking.

One thing that the majority of people are not aware of insurance costs related to planes. My skydiving instructor had to sell his Cessna plane because the insurance went from $3500 a year to $35000 a year post 911.
He said fk it and wanted to fly it to his farm and park it , but they wanted 35K for the year or just a single flight .
Those people did a lot of damage and it’s going to get far worse thanks to liberals

Oh I just remembered this . My boss owned a few planes and had just landed at the airport in Calgary Alberta right as the attacks happened.
He said all the taxi drivers that had towels on their heads were out of their taxis cheering and celebrating when the towers collapsed .
If this doesn’t tell you something nothing will , and fking liberals want more of this

Yeah, but just think of all of the wonderful diversity and delicious slop we got in exchange for this and the various other things you get in a homogenous, high-trust, society!

I took my first flight as a kid about a month before 9/11. My aunt saw me off right at the gate and the whole airport process was smoove. Glad I could experience that before everything went fake and gay

My grandma was from England and a few times we went to the airport to see her off. You had to go through the xray machine if memory served and then after that anyone could go up to the terminals. The way the airport was laid out we'd watch her get on the airplane then stay until the airplane took off, then we'd go back home. It was so totally different, and just another freedom we had to give up because of brown people.

Not to mention you could actually bring a pocket knife on a plane as long as it wasn't past a certain length.

You used to be able to smoke everywhere.

I do not miss smoking on planes. No divider at all, so if you were towards the back of the non-smoking section you were catching just as much secondhand smoke as if you were in the back of the plane.

I fly frequently for work and have Pre-check. For a period of a few months, I got "randomly" selected for additional screening every. single. flight. No idea what list I was on. This last trip I got "randomly" selected for a bag search at the gate. Buying a ticket to
Saudi Arabia the day before was probably what scored that for me.

Goatee (that is growing back in since I had to shave while I was in Malaysia) and no.
