You never want to be known as some grinder who had to overcome being stupid.
You want to be known as the guy who does things calmy and with ease. This is why in university I would spend 10 hours frantically studying for a final exam but tell people I spent a few hours the night before doing some light review.
People are attracted to natural ability, not work ethic. Which goes into my next lesson - never tell girls how hard you are working.

My issue is that in university I had to study pretty hard for not even STEM courses like accounting and stuff.
I remember my roommate could just attend classes and absorb the info in the lecture where I’d be lost 20 mins in and I’d have to go home and do practice problems and shit like a low IQcel.
If I were even 110-115 IQ I wouldn’t have had to study so hard.

In saying that I prefer coping and thinking there is a small chance it could be higher because I've never officially taken an IQ test. Let me have that brah.

I will never take an IQ test.
Way too scared of scoring low.
I think if I scored lower than 110 I’d spiral into a severe depression and never get over it srs and if I scored like 90 or something I couldn’t even imagine how bad I’d feel, may rope.
I’m happy not knowing my iq.
Iq is the most important thing in life imo.

I think you can improve your working memory or fluid intelligence tho which would help with the calculation based questions. But I’m not too sure, haven’t researched that topic enough. But that’s something I’d like to improve personally if possible.
I’ve actually heard metacognition which is the ability to observe your thought patterns is actually more important than iq tho because having high meta cognition is important for decision making and acting logically instead of impulsively.

It would be interesting to take a large enough sample who studied in an attempt to increase their iq to see if this 100 mean score improved to like 105.
I think maybe but we wouldn’t see any meaningful improvement of like 100 —> 110.

Melby-Lervåg, Redick & Hulme (2016) – Meta-analysis (87 studies)
Link: PubMed
Result (1 sentence): Found no good evidence that working memory training improves IQ or other broad measures of intelligence beyond the specific tasks that were practiced.
Redick et al. (2013) – Randomized, placebo-controlled trial
Link: PubMed
Result (1 sentence): Participants improved on the training exercises but showed no improvement in fluid intelligence (IQ-related ability) compared with controls.
Harrison et al. (2013)
Link: SAGE Journal Abstract
Result (1 sentence): Working memory training increased working memory capacity but did not increase fluid intelligence.
Melby-Lervåg & Hulme (2013) – Meta-analysis
Link: PubMed
Result (1 sentence): Training produced short-term improvements on practiced memory tasks but did not generalize to overall intelligence.

I’m so into my own head I like to drink because it’s the only thing that lets me escape my thoughts and chill out if only for a few hours. Terrible coping mechanism tho.
