LOL imagine proposing a 300% increase

It's like you don't even want the bill to pass. If anyone was genuinely trying to raise minimum wage you'd see a much more realistic number of $10 or maybe $12. Let's put it this way, if you want to get a raise at your job and you make $100k now are you going to go into the meeting asking for your salary to be bumped to $300k or are you going to ask it to jump to something like 110k (give or take)? You ask for 300k they're just going to laugh at you. It's not even a serious discussion. That's the equivalent of this proposed bill
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

.06% of employees make the fed min wage and 25% of them are teenagers.

In practical terms, then fed min wage it doesn't really exist.

I make a little over $20 as a first responder if this bill passes I will definitely make the same as a Walmart greeter and all the money I’ve worked hard to save up will become slightly more than worthless

Yeah because they HAVE to pass it on to the customer.

There is no way they could just take a small cut from their million dollar bonuses.

The problem is corporate greed.

Everyone should just stop buying fucking garbage.

Prices are already beyond what we should tolerate for the garbage we get in return.

The rules are 100% made up, and they are specifically designed to have the working class be at their max input to the machine.

This system has been like this for a long time, and it will continue.

Don’t worry little nuggets, you still gonna be poor and competing for resources regardless. The law will always facilitate that.

Back when I use to listen to conservative talk radio, I think I remember someone saying that Unions base their wage off minimum wage. So a union job might be 3 times minimum wage so if the federal minimum wage would go up union pay would go up 3x that amount, its one of the reason people want to raise the minimum wage when the market has low skilled jobs at 2x that amount.

Yeah, most, if not all union contracts are linked to the fed min wage and when it increases it, their pay increases, plus for many it triggers an automatic return to the bargaining table.

So at like a burger place, the employees are getting paid $25 per hour, but a burger fries and drink combo will then cost $25, so people just wont go there at all, then the place will close.

Pay will compensate, but anyone who made money saved in USD will become poor overnight as $25 becomes worth 3.25.

Funny thing is $25/hr is pretty much still poverty. Rent takes half that, and thats in the ghetto.

You won't have your own place. You'll 100% have roommates.
