Should I assume this 40 year old person died from an overdose?

I have an old female friend from college. Found out on facebook her brother who is not even 40 died. No cause given. Just about things they loved about in life. When I finally asked a close friend a few weeks later, she said how the person had health issues, which put them into kidney failure and then he had a stroke."

If this were the case, wouldn't the obituary reveal this health issue which caused that person to die? I would assume they would also comment how the person fought so hard against the illlness, battled it, etc. When a person under 40 dies from illnesses they can't control, I would think this would be publicized and exposed showing the courage they had to face it. Suicide was the only other thing I could think of, but I feel like the obituary would include that as well and raise awareness for it.

I know a couple people that randomly died. In their 30s. I don’t think it was overdoses. Nothing said in the obituary about it neither. Both of them women if it matters. These mysteries were never solved so I don’t know what else to say. I think it just happens. Suicide might also be possible. Some families really don’t want that getting out

^^Not necessarily, no.

If a close friend said they had health problems, kidney failure and stroke, I'd jut take them at their word and not overthink it.

I'm guess I'm just fascinated with these young people in their 30's and 40's dying and the obituary just calmly talking about how lit up every room they walked in or had such a passion for things, etc and I'm like 'holy crap, is it that easy to just die?' I also want to know how they died because it might help prevent other people of passing away from the same thing or in the same way. Besides OD and maybe suicide, I can't understand how you wouldn't want to include the reason for their passing if they are that young. And to also show that this is what that person faced and had to suffer from, which most certainly increases people's sympathy for the recently deceased.

Probably diabetes or hypertension. Drugs don't really fuck your kidneys, they hit the liver and heart.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Obituaries don't really reveal the cause of death from what I've seen.
