Generally, yes, but from a legal aspect, her brandishing a weapon before there was a credible threat means she exacerbated the situation. Just imagine if you're allowed to pull a gun and point it at somebody without a credible threat towards you. And then automatically be granted a ten foot circle of protection where you're allowed to use lethal force if somebody crosses it.

I always park near the back of the lot, less cars, less chance of someone hitting my car, and I have legs, so I may as well use them. I've seen people spend 15 minutes circling the lot for a closer spot, when the walk from the back of the lot is at most 2 minutes.

Regardless of whether anyone thinks that this can be classed as 'self-defence' is irrelevant.

I've never had a gun pointed at me but I'm not going to walk towards the person at fast pace. If they were close to me and I was going to try to disarm them I might try to gradually get a half a step here or there to get close enough to make a move. If they were pretty far away like this woman its retarded to advance but if you are you probably need to go 100% as fast as you can, not speed walk up to them. In the end its not worth losing your life over.
